Well, I'm thinking we may still have to up-grade on Dorsette a wee bit.

But maybe this doesn't mean anything. Maybe, he's just been waiting for the right time and team.
I'm just joking around, I don't mind the signing..... ;)

Decent signings for Elmer. It doesn't erase the Sutter and Eriksson blunders but not too much to bitch about here. Maybe Sam makes Grit & Balls expendable. One can only hope.

Seems to me they got a lot more versatility for the coaches to get through a long season and injuries and they can mix an match through slumps and long road trips.

They don't ha e to have 19/20 years olds playing above their heads to win a games or from getting smoked nightly.

So far I'm still in board with the rebuild Benning started when he got here

Sedin horvat sutter gagner as four line centres to build around and mix and match wingers that can move up or down depending on chemistry?
Maybe if you chuck gagner on the Sedins wing ? Who knows, maybe you get a rejuvenated top line?

Btw, I'm not in country watch games on TV last year but did they have Erixon playing on his off wing to line up with the Sedins on the top line ? He's a left winger same as Daniel ?

That could be why he was a bust ...

Just wondering aloud .

Don't be surprised to see Burmistrov as fourth line centre and Sutter and Gagne rotate centre/wing as need be. Gagne was talking about getting a chance to play with the twins so who knows.
The only HW the Canucks need

The only time Gagner was placed on waivers was in 2015… when he had a $5M salary.

Burmistrov was placed on waivers by the Jets and claimed by Arizona this past January.

Nilsson has never been placed on waivers.

Del Zotto has never been placed on waivers.

Wiercioch has never been placed on waivers.

The acquisitions will have an impact on the youth movement. There’s no room for Olli Juolevi and probably only one spot for Brock Boeser and Nikolay Goldobin to fight over in training camp.
Stupid Province amirite?

GMJB will make room for Juolevi if needs be.

Diehard has alluded to the all the left side dee we now have

... Edler, Hutton, Del Zotto, Wiercioch, with Holm, Pedan and Juolevi.

Hutton is trade-able if Juolevi is ready.

Holm doesn't require waivers... he can be sent to Utica.

Wiercioch/Pedan could be traded/waived (might not clear waivers but oh well).

IF Juolevi is ready, it's a good problem to have, they'd make room.

Same Boeser and Goldobin... room will be made for both if they show they belong.

Gonna be an interesting training camp. :mex:

"Not too much to bitch about" - that must be so frustrating for you!

Oh wait, you go on to bitch about "the Sutter and Eriksson blunders".

When Sutter was acquired you said good things about him.

When Sutter was re-signed you said he was overpaid by a mere $500K.

And yet you continue to bitch bitch bitch...

I see today Bonino finally got that "next contract" we've talked about

... and yup, turns out he's making Sutter money. :D

Two players of arguably fairly similar value who were traded for each other.

(I've always said Sutter is clearly the better of the two)

Eriksson will have a better season next year, if you are honest I think you'd agree.

The only question is how much better.

Who knows, maybe he shows the kids how to rebound from a bad season?

I dunno, but all of the Genius' contract signings end up looking good at some point...

Sutter and Bonino both are overpaid for 3rd line centres .

I was never on board with Sutter and I think most of the board knows this. M

Quite the hill to die on for you in Eriksson and Butters contracts. I look forward to your back pedalling when Elmer gets the boot. Something tells me you will scurry into a hole like Matt Cooke when Matt Johnson is coming after him.

Bubbles is not a fan of Bonino? Interesting he says this now. Is it the money Bonino is collecting now? Hmmm
