I hope to god whoever we get at #5 turns out to be better than the players drafted ahead of him.

Mmmm if the Canucks hadn't collapsed down the stretch they would be picking 8 to 10th. It obviously sucks to lose the lottery repeatedly but that doesn't change the fact that this team needs an infusion of top end prospects. We are going to be a lottery team again next year so better get used to the disappointment of losing out on the top 3 picks!

Simply wishing it wasn't so, or bitching about "tanking" or a "curse" doesn't change reality.

This wasn't a tanking team. It's a team with dreadful talent that could use some luck come ping-pong ball time one of these years. If we get that luck, things might progress faster. If we don't, we'll get used to Bill Daley's card flips.
