And the NHL who waited until they had 3 in 5 years before doing anything about it, and still not getting the system right.

So let's here the pro tankers spinning this one. Two years in a row we end up with the 5th while teams finishing ahead of us move up to get the best picks. I don't want to hear tank for first ever fucking again. Got it.

Try for the playoffs, finish 8-12 and move the fuck up.
The only HW the Canucks need

God knows there's some gullible schmuck who will pay a good prospect for a top-5 even if it's a dog-shit draft. This draft will produce no one of consequence so Benning may as well try to steal a more established prospect or more picks in the lower rounds (increasing his odds of finding a nugget in this draft sea of shit) than pick 5 in this vomit pool of a first round.

Trying to build through the draft by being dog shit to get a high pick is completely useless especially if you are cursed at the draft. I agree the Canucks have to find other means because this route will never work for the Canucks

All hail the league's vaunted tank-buster system, where the league's struggling (and American/Torontonian) teams benefit from a 'fair' system and punish those 'tankers' north of the border and not in prime TV viewership areas.

Fucking Bettmen and his crooked shitnanigans...
Love the Sport. Love the Team.

Hate the League.

Hey, whatcha know Montazuma's revenge.

I blame this on team tank karma

and bettman

and the Hockey God's distain for all things Canucks

and trying to read coils in toilets.... should have stuck to tea leaves

anyway, only a fool would doubt that whoever the Canucks pick will be a BUST!

can't wait for the draft to see who that poor sap will be. Pity the bugger in this rabid fan base.

Why are you mad at the tankers? These ARE "try for the playoffs" results!

Tanking would've gotten us 4th...

Now a "pro Rebuilder" would say, "no big deal, this is why we've stockpiled draft picks throughout the draft". ;)

It's only math. We'll be back next year, maybe things go our way then.

Oh

Makar then

We are drafting a defenseman 100% but IMO the Canucks should trade the pick for a good young prospect or player or make it part of a bigger trade package. No offence to whom might be available at 5 they at that range are so far from being saviours
