As a group - here's how we did in the first round:

MIN over STL - (6-5)
ANA over CAL - (10-1)
SJS over EDM - (8-3)

MTL over NYR - (10-1)
OTT over BOS - (8-3)

Ok, I'll go:

Gotta take Anaheim in 6. Oilers are playing well. Talbot has been very good. They have the size and grit to match up against the Ducks. But I think the Ducks experience will win out.

Nashville in 6. Should be a good series. It will come down to goaltending. Can Allen repeat round one?

NYR in 6. Just a better team.

Washington in 7. This has got to be the Caps year right? But I dunno, they looked pretty ordinary against the leaves. But they are my nephews favourite team so I have to go with them.

Caps vs Penguins is a match made in hockey heaven - Ovechkin vs Crosby once again, now veterans in this game, you'd think whoever wins this will get to the Stanley Cup finals on a roll.

Ducks vs Oilers, luckily the duckily's have better defense than SJ, I don't know if they can match the Oilers speed of McDavid and Draisaitl - the big german who kept giving fits to SJ's defense.

But if they can control those two, and overcome their speed those two have, the depth of the Ducks could overtake the younger Oilers.

Capitals in 7 - So tempted to choose the Pens in 6 but those Capitals have to win one day don't they?
