Thoughts on an ingenious method of getting Max Domi off the dogs and reuniting him with Bo with Brock on the line as well.
He might not be tall but he plays big and isn't afraid of the dirty areas.
Just a thought.

Bearcheese for Domi.
I can see us having to sweeten it a tiny bit but not much.
Baer is already talkin arbitration so that doesn't exactly paint a pretty picture in regards to the way he feels about his future here,
(or at least what he suspects).
Oh I know it's only solving the winger problem and it's not a big time super deal but if it were there, what the hell?
Suspect Bo would be pleased.

If it was anyone other than Glendale, I'd say your right.
I wonder though, if they even want anything to do with an arbitrated salary if they though they could get two discount players.
Just don't see them dishing out a Horvat like contract.

The biggest change appears to be one that will now have Ryan Suter skate on the same defense pairing as Jonas Brodin.
One person that was not a fan of that decision: Ryan Suter.

The biggest problem Suter has is the fact that both he and Brodin are left-handed shots, which forces one of them to play on their offside and limits their options with the puck. Suter was brutally honest about it on Monday.

"I guess they decided to change things up. I don't know what they're thinking," Suter said. "It's different, I need to play with a right-handed defensemen to give me more options in the neutral zone, offensively and even coming out of the D zone. It's not fair to put a guy on his offside. I don't know if it's just for practice today or what it is, they didn't say anything."
Suter makes a good point about right handed dmen to play with their LD counterparts, which got me to check the current right shot dmen on the Canucks:

Tanev, Stecher, Guddy, Biega with prospects: Chatfield and Brassard (with hopefully Bouchard. :D )

Edler - Stecher
MDZ - Tanev
(Pouliot/Juolevi) - Gudbranson
Sautner - Biega
Brisebois - Chatfield

So Hutton is adios amigos.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

In two years:

Tryamkin Boqvist
Juolevi Tanev
Edler Gudbranson
Saunter Stecher

Edler will play a lot longer than most here expect. He ends up being the team’s edler statesman when they make the playoffs again.

MDZ, Hutton, Pouliot are your defensive trade chips for a couple low draft picks somewhere down the road.
We are all Snidely Whiplash.

To reiterate on the Sedins retiring, I think the Canucks will be going through a huge culture change in how the team plays and its new swagger with the new young leaders at the helm.

The Sedins represented the classy gentleman lifestyle, high IQ players who didn't engage in fighting and shied away from the nasty side of the game totally.

While I believe with the Travis Green coaching philosophy in fast/gritty/effort play, with Horvat, Boeser, Virtanen etc up front, the team will have a new aggressive look, young hungry millionaires.

They'll definitely be a new energy to the team moving forward.

Eriksson is what he is, he has the same gentleman style game as the twins, but he's a different style of point producer, he has a solid 200ft game, his metrics say he makes his linemates better, he's as reliable as they come, but how he gets his points is by being around the net and being an opportunist (that's how Claude Julien used him), he should be a staple on the powerplay now that the sedins have left with his long reach, he should be superb banging in loose pucks and snipes in the slot.

I'll even take him in the Camaro

But no, we have to make the assumption something new and wondrous manifests itself and a 60 point player pops up.

He should go back to the old look with the short hair though.
The mop doesn't work, not to mention, it looks creepy.
