Apart from the SHL and the Champions Hockey League, Elias Pettersson may end up playing at the WJC, the Olympics and the World Championship this winter. He'll have to savour this shot at international hockey, because if Bettman gets his way, it may take some time before we get to see NHLers at the Olympics again. :(

Russia announces today that it will allow it's athletes to compete in South Korea winter games under the Olympic
Flag.
So I guess that means a hockey team which for surely, Tryamkin would be on...

And if they celebrate post games as "Russians" they risk being stripped of their medals. IOC wants to prevent Putin and his state from having any glory.

Lockwood was drafted with the 3rd round pick we received in the Brandon Sutter acquisition

Nick Bonino 5 goals 1 assist - $16.4 million contract - $4.1 million per

Obviously no serious injury on Pettersson. He played tonight as Växjö beat Färjestad 5-4, and had four assists!
That brings the total to 35 points in 25 games, or a 1.4 points per game average.
Pretty decent, imho, for a 19 year old rookie.

Lot of reasons for hope. One question, though. He's been racking up the assists more so than the goals. Is there a possibility that he is being carried by his line-mates who are doing the scoring? How many of his assists are primary assist and how many are secondary?

Not suggesting that he is, but just wondering considering his high assist to goal ratio.

Good to see he's back skating though.

First game back from injury and Elias nails 4 assists. The Geniusness is overwhelming

11 goals in 25 games in a mens league! Are you out to lunch? The kid can rip it!

He must be closing in on Nilsson's record. He will end the year as the best u20 ever.

Any word if Dahlen will be joining Petterson and playing on the same team?

The rumours I've heard about Dahlén involve Brynäs or the Swiss league, but most people seem to think he'll stay put in Timrå. Växjö has denied any plans of acquiring him.
