2016 TRADE DEADLINE TRACKER

Post by Hockey Widow »

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl-complete-trade-list-1.210847

The above is a link to TSN trade tracker for trades made up to and including the Blues picking up Anders Nilsson from Edmonton.

Blues acquire goalie Anders Nilsson from Oilers in exchange G Niklas Lundstrom and a 5th.

Rumours:
Chicago is trying desperately to trade Bickell's contract of 4m, on the books for next season. They are targeting a top 4 ish D man and are said to be still interested in Hamhuis but only if they clear Bickell's contract. Would you take it knowing Chicago has no first or second this year.

The Hawks have nothing to offer. No decent picks. Not a fan of what's left with their top prospects either - Pokka and Schmaltz. Big meh

It would be nice if Dan would waive to go to Dallas but I'm not counting on it. They have some very nice prospects.

The one positive about what the Blackhawks are doing. They will be a real shitty team after the Kane and Toews era is over. But a few Stanley Cups later. They ain't done yet. We have zero. I don't think they mind.

I can't remember if it was a twitter thing, or on here, or somewhere else entirely, but I saw that Florida is looking for a top-4 D and a 3rd line winger. If that's true, then I'm sure we could get a 1st plus for Hamhuis and Hansen, they certainly have the cap room. Either that or Burrows instead of Hansen if Benning doesn't see him as a "place holder" here. I'm sure Bur would waive to go play with his buddy Lou again.

San Jose just got a bit better.....

http://www.tsn.ca/leaves-trade-reimer-to-sharks-1.444602

Reimer could be seriously underrated, it will be interesting to see how he fares with a real team in front of him.

leaves are ALL-IN on Matthews now for sure. They just dumped the better of their two goaltenders and I suspect they could be screwed in the crease now and for a few years to come unless some idiot GM gives them a top young goalie prospect in exchange for Bernier or Lupul or some other vet.

Being reported now:

Hurdler to FLA for 2nd (2016) and 4th (2018) round pick.

Decent return IMO as this has been a lost season for the Flames.

If Benning just sits on his ass and makes 'safe' deals, I think I will go all Blob on him.

SJS didn't really get any better. If they have to rely upon Reimer they'll be in trouble. Leaves give up Morin who they acquired from Chicago and get what a 4th in 2018. These are not earth shattering moves.

Although I'd take a number of 4ths in 2018 to unload some of our garbage.

Benning must be playing hardball on his demands for Hamhuis. Rumour is LA closing in on Shultz.

Sort of leaves just Washington left on Hamhuis's supposed list.

Good return. But we don't have a Hurdler type to trade.

Yeah, it is getting a tad frustrating seeing the competition making reasonable deals while we're waiting for Benning and Co. to make a deal. If they come up with nothing but excuses, they will have lost a lot of credibility.

This has just been tweeted:

Hamhuis confirms that Dallas and the #stars have many attractive qualities and he would consider a move there. #Canucks[quote]

A first, this draft, and one of the stars best prospects and I would do it.

How is Vrbata appreciably different from Hudler???

Vrbata should get us a 2nd or 3rd and a late round pick. I would make that deal all day.

Great news! Hope Benning holds out for Benn and Seguin!

Agreed but he has to be offered it from a team on Vrbata's list.
