True story: Last time the Habs had Higgs, he was a party animal (which is why they dumped him).

He had it pretty bad back in the day, but not near as bad as you-know-who (allegedly) has it now.

Higgy's numbers in his first few years with the Habs were actually pretty good; a solid 20G guy and almost 30G one year, good enuff for a 2nd line and sometimes 1st line player. Maybe the Habs will want him back.

I think Higgins could fetch a 3rd from someone, but it might be a hard sell right now with all the guys on PTO's and waivers. Do you give up a draft pick for Higgins coming off a busted foot, or sign Glencross for nothing but cap space?

The funny thing is Benning is exactly the kind of GM that would overpay for a Higgins type. Forget production and ability, just look at his effort, professionalism and "glue"-factor.
