Not sure what you mean with regards to Gaunce. He just created a goal by driving to the net and I think he's scored a goal too

Virtanen is the only baby Canuck that looks NHL ready

Subban looks like a Midget out there. I can't see how he could play in the NHL

Shinkaruk looks fucking awful. What a waste of a first round pick.

You can see potential in Brisebios

Nothing much from Cassels, Gaunce or McCann

Need a few more Virtanens out there we look like boys against men out there
You can't be serious... Gaunce has been very noticeable, especially when he drove to the net and made the second goal possible.

babycanucks need some help from Demko, Boeser, Jasek, Pedan.

Prospects could definitely use more defensive help.

Sorry Gaunce has looked pretty good

Expected a helluva lot more from Cassels and McCann

I'm calling it now - Shinkaruk is a bust
DOYLE WOULD’VE RATHER HAD KEVIN HAYES AT 7 YEARS 7 MILLION PER INSTEAD OF J.T. MILLER FOR A LATE 1ST RD PICK

It would be interesting to swap Cassels with McCann to play between Shinkaruk and Virtanen. McCann is more of a playmaking center than Cassels which might help setting up Shinkaruk.

Shinkaruk needs to wake up. Desperation is not in the equation with this guy. He needs to be a buzz saw out there otherwise he ain't getting anywhere near the NHL

You can see the potential in McCann

Hutton is extremely green

McCann has really good vision and should be an asset on the PP.

Gaunce has had a very strong game. He's made some smart plays.

Subban has the skills, he just needs to get up to speed with the pro game.

Cassels has looked a little rusty.

Stewart moves well for a big man.

Is McDavid playing this game? Haven't heard his name mentioned

Shinkaruk needs to help himself. No centre is going to save his lame ass

Just a few more Virtanen hits to McDavy this year and that should be that for him. *evil laugh*

No doubt, however, having chemistry with the right players is also important.

Gaunce & Virtanen were both really solid... Gaunce a goal , assist and a post, looks NHL ready for sure, very smart skating is way better...Virtanen hits like a truck & stirred the pot, and got under the Oilers skin with this Angelic look on his face... what did i do ....was pretty funny...
Shinkaruk has improved a lot since last years tournament, definitely stockier & stronger
I would sign Abols if he plays the next 2 games like this one
The Canucks actually controlled the play for the first 2 periods even though the score didn't show it...
Witt had a tough game in net...
Hutton was Canucks best Defeceman, stood Mcdavid up on a rush in the first...
Mcdavid can really fly, unbelievable speed & skill...
The game actually seemed a lot closer than the score indicated, at least for the first 2 1/2 periods.. Oilers got a few bounces in their favour, refs missed quite a few penalties calls on them
All in all, they have a lot of good parts, Utica should have a good season.

Keep in mind Cassels was just cleared to play last weekend, he spent the summer rehabbing an abdominal tear. McCann is coming off a headache and sore shoulder. You gotta expect them to be a bit rusty. For Cassels no problem he can go to Utica but for McCann those injuries may cost him a roster spot and back to junior. Especially with Gaunce looking pretty good so far.

I was impressed with Abols. Would like to see more of him.

I thought both Hutton and Subban looked good. Brisbois has the tools but clearly is a ways off. He'll benefit from strengthening and more time in junior.

We have some decent defensive prospects that need more time to develope, certainly no one that looks to be a future 1-2 at this point but getting some depth. Too bad it's a few years away.

Stewart impressed me more than I thought he would. I liked how he answered the bell and fought. Converting him to wing seems to be a good idea, early days though.

Too soon to see any chemistry out there. Some decent looking prospects at all positions but several years away from making an impact.

If Virtanen plays like this throughout camp it will make it hard to send him back to junior.
The only HW the Canucks need

What the?

Shrink Carrots game is so ugly only a mother could love. I've been scanning few boards out there and you seemingly are the only one with s positive review

The two lone bright spots - Virtanen and Gaunce. In terms of NHL game.

Too bad this isn't midget hockey cause Subban would have a spit of a chance if it was.

McCann showed signs but him and Cassels get mulligans injury setbacks

Hutton and Brisebios you can see signs but both are very raw right now

Fox back to the ECHL

Not much positives in a smoke show like that
