Yup, some can't look at the bigger picture here.

The better questions are: What are we doing? Where is this team going?

This team needs a rebuild.

You didn't just post this?

In the past two seasons they have turned over every player on the roster except the Sedins, Edler, Hansen and Tanev

yes he did except none of the player are top 3 players or players that will get you the s/c, most are reclamation projects.

The Oilers make me laugh, they take Benson with their 2nd pick, I know, it's a 2nd round pick, but with all the other teams madly trading for and signing D-men, do they not realize the importance of D? Or is it see no monkey, hear no monkey? We are like the opposite of the Oilers, Benning loves D, while the Coil don't. Even without drafting Juolevi our D was miles better than the Oilers. The Yotes, get it - first Goligoski, then Chychryn and then trade for D'Angelo.

Keep on keeping on, Oilers

They must be uber-confident they can get their blueline messiah by dangling their damaged 1st rounders.

Well I'm not a huge fan of Tkachuk.... but will concede he'll eventually be a Top-6 NHLer.

Elliot is 31 and has run hot-n-cold his entire career... his maximum over the past 5 seasons is 46 gms-played.

Calgary only had 2 late 2nds (Parsons - G + Dube - C).. just one pick per round thereafter + extra late 7th.

The Flames have a lot less than we do in the way of prospects... they will be a bubble team at best for all eternity.

I really hope you're right. If in fact Tkachuk is the real 'mckoy' as a first liner down the road, it'll be a reality that we will have to live with while hopefully being consoled by Juelevi's greatness! (I hope) :|

I'm sorry but we got bigger problems at forward once the 36 year old Sedins retire than we do at defence. Juolevi, Sergachyov and Chychrun are "maybe" top pairing D men while PLD and Tkachuk are pretty much guaranteed first line players.

If we don't walk out of this draft with one of Dubois or Tkachuk this management regime will go down as the worse regime since the regime of the mid eighties Cam Neely trade era.
There is gold in them there Hills 8-)
