Everyone happy now. Probably not because SJS second round pick would be better than Anaheim. I guess Kesler and Bieksa are still friends. Still don't want Kesler to win a cup but I'd be ok if Bieksa did. So confusing.

So word is Bieksa would only waive for a warm climate, on a contender, that would extend him. A little more wiggle room than Kesler but not much. Sorta only leaves Tampa, LA and Anaheim that meet all three criteria but Tampa didn't need him and LA is still sorting cap.

Good luck Kevin, sort of.

I imagine the Anaheim pick will be in the 53-60 range.

Gonna be pretty tough, I'd love Bieksa to win a cup... but that means Kesler would have to win one too.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Bieksa bounce back . He couldn't possibly be partnered up with a worse player than Luca Sbisa next season . Good for KB to get away from this mess of a team and have a chance to win ,

haha holy shit outta nowhere!!

Benning with the passive aggressive slap back to Wilson...Juice still in Cali.

Cap space.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

So Benning, in consecutive years, gets two players on NTC to move, and he gets a second for both.

I guess in this case, trading within the division isn't that bad...

No shit. But hoping for him to win means hoping for Kesler to win also. Conundrum.

Thanks for the good times, Juice.

Teams will love playing the Canucks next season. Softer than butter.

Took the words out of my mouth, SKYO. A worse pick than what SJ's 2nd-rounder would have been but glad Benning didn't just bend over after the bitch slap Wilson gave him at the draft. If nothing else, it's ammo moving ahead.

I wish him well with the rest of his career, but no Cup wishes for him here for the same reason others have mentioned.

Reunited and it feels so good
Reunited 'cause we understood
There's one perfect fit
And, sugar, this one is it
We both are so excited 'cause we're reunited, hey, hey

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Lack for a 3rd? Lack for a 3rd?

but its a high third

Biesksa for a low second? Beiksa for a low second?

but its a second round pick

KB3 had many good years, but he's done as a top 4. Ducks are a good landing place for him because they can slot him on the 5/6 unit and have another D help babysit him. A 2nd round pick is probably best JB was ever going to do, but getting the cap space and getting Casual Kev out of there does help. I respect what he's done, but to me he became the symbol of the stale old core, but with an attitude like it was still 2011. The Sedins, as we saw this year, can still produce, Bieksa acts like he's still that 2011 guy, but he ain't...GMJB did a good thing moving on, had to.

LOL

Well as it stands we have 2 2nds next year in what is supposed to be another deep draft. If we are out of it by TDD I think we can move Hamhuis and Vrbata for more picks as well. One day we will have about 50 million n cap

Yep, loved him in his prime. Who am I kidding, I've never liked Bieksa and always wanted him gone. Love his heart and off ice persona but he will always be casual Kev to me. I would have rather they traded Bieksa and kept Mitchell way back when.

Glad we have the cap and the pick. And for anyone who will miss him, we we have the pizza delivery guy to remind us a a daily basis of what casual Kev was all about. But boy are we ever pansies now.
