So its Spaling, Kapanen, Harrington and a 1st for Kessel and a 2nd, Toronto also keeps 15% of salary.
Confusion as to whether the second goes to Pens or if Toronto gets the 2nd in addition to the 1st.
Ok, Toronto gets 1st and third in 2016 but send their 2nd in 2016 to Pens
Retention is 1.2 for the next 7 years.
So leaves have retention of 2.2M on three players plus Horton's LTIR. they can only retain on more contract but can still buy out.

3 years at 2.1 per too rich for us in the role we wanted. Canucks did not want to go over two years.

If we are serious about kids playing we have no room left to sign anyone. As it is we haven one spot available up front.

Re: Free Agency 2015
Wow, the pens are going for broke, if Crosby and Malkin continue their fall from grace, this team could be real shitty in a few years, but the Pens have always be all in or all out.
Kapanen gives the leaves another super skilled small guy along with Marner and Nylander, those 3 will need a few Red Forest Trees around them, but skill they cerntainly have. Kapanen and Nylander were neck and neck for awhile leading up to their draft. The leaves will have a top 5 pick of their own in 2016 as they look to be going full tank for 2016. I expect the Pens pick to be somewhere around 20th. Now that's a rebuild at sonic speed. Benning, you watching?

“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau

More middling tweener/forwards and injury prone D-men past their prime to keep us at .500 hockey. Real exciting players for the fans to get behind. Like HW says, they are just taking jobs away from our youth. we need to stop doing that, that was very Mike Gillis era Canucks, cook the kids in the minors.

Yeah we would have to move someone,it be nice if we open up a spot for another youngster up front where we have a bunch of younger guys.Hockey Widow wrote:valkyrie wrote:Still hoping for the Hoff and maybe Santorelli, just to keep vey off the ice.

Re: Free Agency 2015
Washington Capitals defenseman Patrick Wey has retired after suffering two concussions in 2014, according to team writer Mike Vogel on Monday. Wey, who last played with the Hershey Bears, a minor-league affiliate of the Capitals, was a restricted free agent this offseason. In retirement, he will pursue "educational interests."
The 24-year-old hadn't played in a pro hockey game since October 2014, when he took an elbow to the head from Lehigh Valley’s Jay Rosenhill while playing for the Bears. At the time, the team listed Wey's injury as "upper body," but in February, the Washington Post reported that Wey had indeed been diagnosed with a concussion. Rosenhill was suspended for one game.

Not laughing at concussions for a 24 year old just find it funny that it's news today
