A lot of smoke coming out that Elmer and Johnny are going hard after Mark Jankowski.

So is it a 1st or a 2nd or both? Is Horvat in play? Maybe Tanev, with the new Danish rh defenceman we just stole from the Oilers.

Vancouver Canucks Philip Larsen, D - Traded for 2017 5th-rd pick from Edmonton

BIRTHYEAR 1989-12-07 BIRTHPLACE Esbjerg, DEN
AGE 26 NATION Denmark
POSITION D SHOOTS R
HEIGHT 182 cm / 6'0" WEIGHT 83 kg / 183 lbs
YOUTH TEAM Esbjerg IK CONTRACT 15/16
NHL DRAFT 2008 round 5 #149 overall by Dallas Stars
SOCIAL twitter

Larsen has average size, but other than that, he shows a rather all-around arsenal of skills. He is blessed with good speed, technical skills and very good hockey sense, which is his greatest quality. Really a smart player, that sees openings that many other players are unable to. He plays mature and appears to be relaxed and confident on the ice. Perhaps more noticeable offensively than defensively, but rather solid in his own end, despite having to work with the physical aspect of the game.

Doing well in KHL - made all star game. 52 games 11 G 25 A with Jokerit

On 1040 this morning, Bill Watters was asked of his opinion on Larsen. He said he thought Larsen would be a great fit with the Sedins, lol.

The real Farhan saying Blackhawks have serious interest in Vrbata and Hamhuis.
According to TSN's Farhan Lalji, the Chicago Blackhawks have serious interest in Vancouver Canucks defenceman Dan Hamhuis and forward Radim Vrbata.

Ya that one is picking up steam. It would involve a first, a second, 1-2 prospects with the Canucks taking back salary or retaining or both.

But they are also said to be going hard after Ladd.
The only HW the Canucks need

Done. Take back Bickell in return, see if we can flip him (retained) for a lower pick.

God, that deal I'd take. Two high picks, two warm bodies for the AHL (so Jim doesn't have to spend any more mid rounders on them) and maybe a Prust replacement? Image

Now we just need Dale Tallon to help us out after the Luongo reaming and go take Ladd off the market!

But Chicago doesn't have a second this year so maybe just a first and a couple of prospects.

What an absolutely pathetic list. And to think Elmer actually went out and targeted most of these guys, along with Dorsett, Bonino, Miller and Sbisa. Hanging on to Vrbata and then playing him in the bottom six in a UFA season was a real stroke of genius as well.

Giving up assets for players you then can't give away for free, the very definition of wizardry. Long live Brownpants.

Maybe he meant on the PP, kind of like when we had the Hoffer back there. :P

Haha, yeah, maybe, except for the embarrasing silence and quick topic change, lol. Most people on radio are there just cos they're good at yakking.

Ok, so now that Chicago is out, who is left that may have interest in Hamhius? The Capitals have no cap room. LA, Dallas, Tampa???
DOYLE WOULD’VE RATHER HAD KEVIN HAYES AT 7 YEARS 7 MILLION PER INSTEAD OF J.T. MILLER FOR A LATE 1ST RD PICK

Dallas fits the bill. Desperately need a solid defensive guy and they have the space and the picks.
