The also-rans in the W. Conference just keep beefing up. Is there really a point in trying to make it into the playoffs for the next couple years???

Aside from the Oilers
.. no really crazy deals so far. I thought we were going to see out of control inflation but shaving a couple million off the cap ceiling seems to have done wonders (at this early juncture).
We'll see what happens though when the teams get desperate and guys like Vanek and Grabovski are waiting to see what the market will bear..
