If trading Horvat + 6th pick was the only way to acquire the 2014 1st pick, would ya do it?

I guess everyone hears what they want to hear. I would still keep the pick and make the trade to Anaheim as I have previously mentioned. I think Reinhart will make some team a good 2nd liner just not ours. I think Rummy's trade idea is right there with Betamax and Skyo's.

Well I would put CanuckOne's assessment of Reinhart right up there with Todd's command of the English language.

Second line center, lol. I deg to biffer.

And obviously my suggestion was tongue in cheek, but I would rather part with the past than the future, if you catch my drift.

That, duh, makes me hope that GMJB pulls the trigger ........ :mex:
Well, if you believe the MSM (Botchford or IMac), they don't believe the Canucks would be willing to trade Horvat but IMac says they are actively moving up to draft one the Big 3 Cs' (Two Sams' and DD) ... so if that's the case, that means they clearly think they will end up being better than Nylander. :mex:

/\ /\ /\ another- in my opinion, maybe, what if. Nothing says that is what they are doing, you are being hopeful that they see it the same way you do. Perhaps they are saying grab Nylander as he is the franchise center we are looking for! How many teams passed on Jagr? If someone had traded up to grab him, everyone would have laughed, yet he is the superstar of that draft. Keep the pick or move up and only if there is suspicion that Nylander is in play. Trade for the 10th and grab Vertanin. Yep, a perfect scenario. By the way Rummy my response was tongue in cheek as well.

Well, if they move up the draft and then take Nylander over the alleged "Big 3 Cs" ... I will give you your props. If not, I'm going to lay down the hammer on you, moving forward. Similar to the ferocity that The Moj demonstrated on his TV promo spots. :mex:

By the way, my preference is STILL to trade up to #1 and take Reinhart.

Obviously at a certain price I would decline.

And yeah I'd decline if the price were Horvat + 6th.

As I've said all along, Florida wants a top 4 dee pretty badly, and we've got one to spare.

Yeah we'd have to add to that.

But I wouldn't be willing to add much more than another high pick and a Hansen/Higgins/Burrows.

I think these are the parts Tallon would be looking for, going by what his statements.

Garrison + Higgins + 6th overall + 36th overall/1st rounder 2015.

If something along those lines can't be worked out FUCK EM SAYS I.

Sidney Crosby
Erik Johnson

On the flip side, here are the last 10 6th overall picks:

2013 Sean Monahan
2012 Hampus Lindholm
2011 Mika Zibanejad
2010 Brett Connolly
2009 Oliver Ekman-Larsson
2008 Nikita Filatov
2007 Sam Gagner
2006 Derick Brassard
2005 Gilbert Brule
2004 Al Montoya

As you can see, there are still good players to be had at the #6 spot, but the 'bust' risk (or 'not live up to potential risk) is far greater.
