Bring Crow back just to push Tony the coach hater Gallagher over the edge. Tony is struggling right now with the firing of his friend Mike Gillis. The fork is almost in him, hiring the screamer again would be the final straw that broke Skull and Bones back

John Stevens looks like a nerdy goof. We need to see Crows funky coiffed razor sharp
haircut behind the bench once more
“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau

Imagine if he got his hands on a Tyler Myers (the player the Canucks should trade for), or if they keep Edler ... he could probably rehabilitate him to being a positive defenseman, a turnaround from the freezing -39 last season.

The main issue with Stevens, is that he was closely linked to being Michael D. Gillis' first choice to be the Head Coach before the emergence of Fonzie that if the new management team hired him, the optics might look like they are just following the vision of what Michael D. Gillis originally wanted. :mex:
Who gives a fuck about the optics ? Gillis was on the right track to hire "the real John Stevens ". The deigos hired Tortorella anyways- had fuck all to do with Gillis. As for trading for Tyler Myers ,that is as stupid as hiring Pierre Mcguire for a coach. Uh, what say you ?

Are u mad Bro ? How many Vezinas will "The Cory " win ?

What say you ?

I would be OK if they brought The Crow back. Unfortunately for him, if he comes back, I'm not sure if the goaltending situation will be any better than it was the last time he was here. :mex:

We just got rid of our number one primo donna player. We're probably going to get rid of the Canucks' number two 'me guy' on the team.

We don't need a coach with a flashy ego or wardrobe. We need a guy who wants to focus on business, with a drive to prove himself, & who will quickly earn the respect of the team's leaders.

We need ... the anti Torts.

Quiet, humble, under-bearing Desjardins is the anti-Torts.
Less Canucks embarrassment please.

John STEVENS future Canucks coach!
There's been some scuttlebutt that Sutter is taking things one year at a time and that the Kings might make a move to make STEVENS a "Coach in Waiting" type of scenario [that we see sometimes in NCAA Division 1 Football) where he gets an upgrade contract to stay put. :mex:

Kuzma: Calm, cool Johnston the Anti-Torts
Interviewed by Vancouver last week, he could fit here as head man or associate coach
By Ben Kuzma, The Province June 16, 2014 5:42 PM

As per the subtitle, Kuzma thinks he might accept a secondary role as an "associate coach" if they don't give him the title as the head man. :mex:

Update: Crow is getting an interview with the Pens on Wednesday according to @DavePratt1040 .

Canucks' fans who want Stevens as the team's next Head Coach better hope Crow or someone else fills that vacancy asap as given a choice between the Canucks or Pens, I think pretty much any Coach would take the latter right now. :mex:

That's what people who wanted Torts for coach (last year), were saying was the problem with AV.
Maybe you're sorry Torts is gone. :hmmm:

didn't quite see if anyone posted this yet.

the Canucks are reportedly kicking the tires on another, higher profile, head coach. "We hear that Dan Bylsma, if he's not in Vancouver now, he may be there very soon just to talk to them about that possibility," said Bob McKenzie during a segment with the NHL Network on Thursday.

Maybe Torts needed more time. :hmmm:

Or yeah, maybe Torts was the wrong asshole for the job.
