Donny! Wow, great to see you.

This past year had me very disinterested for a variety of reasons, I have to say though the prospect of change we are witnessing has me looking forward to the future.

While management and coaching is a start it's the players that need a little shake up as well. We need some fresh blood and it will be interesting to see what roster moves are made once the management dust has settled!

Did HW say Doc is second to none.

Is Donny nothing?
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Have you seen BB lately?

I'd be willing to wager that this whole situation has him far more frazzled than anyone else.

You gotta get the story out, while it's public record, and before the confidentiality clauses become a reality. Just saying

Boring Stevens it is! or Desjardins, wonder if it would be weird for Gulutzan though.

It will be interesting to see how Trotz does with a stable full of sports cars after years of dealing with Volvos and Volkswagens... and a serious monster truck. Biggest challenge will be dealing with the egos and the mentality of that group. I know little of MacLellan, but sometimes you go with the devil you know. Maybe the others said things the owner didn't like to hear (ie-'You're not going to win when you have your star running the show.'). Best if luck...

Trotz coming to Vancouver wouldn't have been the worst of news, but I'm glad he landed on his feet somewhere else. I have a feeling it's a two-horse race between Desjardins and Stevens. The fact Benning knows Houda from his Boston days may speak against hiring the guy if Benning doesn't think as much of him as Chiarellie and the rest of the organization did. God knows there may be a dark horse or two out there who aren't on everybody's radar screens.

I'm still hoping for Winterhawks coach Mike Johnston. Former Vancouver Canucks associate coach, obviously a good teacher looking at Portlands recent success, knows Utica coach Travis Green well as he developed him in Portland.

He probably wouldn't be afraid of the younger players and would help integrate them into the lineup. At the same time, it's unlikely he'd threaten the older guys, as he is familiar with the Sedins, Kesler, Burrows, and Bieksa from his assistant coaching days in Vancouver.
