To all you guys pumping up Loui Eriksson a few pages back.

Just say "NO" to that pussy!

He's only useful if he's scoring and he hasn't been doing much of that the last coupla seasons.

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Wow... HW, your intel is amazingly accurate.

Legit chance VAN deals defenceman Jason Garrison although he has full NTC. It's believed he would reluctantly waive depending on location.

Hearing TB and MTL as potential landing spots for Garrison. TB was interested in Garrison when he was UFA and chose VAN.

Congrats goes to HW for "breaking" a story before the top MSM reports it. :mex:

Well now that it is out there....

The Canucks had a deal, still on the table, Garrison for Berglund straight up. Garrison has said no to St.Louis. Said no to waiving. But is bitter as he has been told he no longer fits in the Canucks top 4. Was not asked to waive initially but told there was a deal to move him made and would he go. He was caught off guard. Has now calmed a bit and has said he would go to either Florida team, one other team but don't know who.

Canucks kicking the tires on the three teams but still want to move him to St. Louis. Garrison pondering everything and is very likely now willing to waive, but to where still on the fence. Had had his heart broken by this. Very unhappy at the way the Canucks have handled it.

But as I said earlier my sense is that Benning is deliberately playing the bad cop in order to "encourage" those with NTC to move. Similar to what BB did when he had to clean up Toronto.
The only HW the Canucks need

It is a bit unfortunate for Garrison. He chose to play in his hometown with a bit of a hometown discount. With a new GM, he is told that he is no longer in the plan. I can understand his frustration.

Funny these NTC. We feel sorry for a player that gets asked to waive when he wants to be here but bitter about a player who wants out wants to control where he goes..

For the most it goes to show that all a NTC does is give a player some control in the process.

If Garrison is okay going to Florida.. that is very good news. If we can get fair value for him it could help us out a fair bit, although I don't feel he's a guy we should be dumping just because.

Wonder if we can use him in a trade for #1 instead of having to fork over Shink?

Is Garrison enough to be considered a centerpiece of a trade with the Panthers that brings back the 1st overall?

Garrison + 6th + Hansen? That seems a bit soft though.

Although the Canucks have Edler/Hamhuis already on the left, without Garrison the defence becomes:

Edler - Bieksa (R)
Hamhuis - RFA Tanev (R)
Stanton - Corrado (R)
and RFA Yannick Weber (R)

Prospects that might be ready?

None really.
Peter Andersson, Henrik Tommernes, Jeremie Blain (R), RFA Yann Sauve, Even McEneny

The Canucks would certainly need to add a defencemen through UFA or trade - at the very least a bottom pair veteran...

It's a great day for hockey!

Apologies, esteemed poster Don: He forgot Corrado (where he belongs).
