As for Lu staying or going, he's already tried to leave. I like what he's done this year but I figure at some point he's going to be gone given he's asked out. Those who are trying to continually keep him might as well get used to this fact.
Pauser wants the Canucks to force Luongo to stay.
He also wants the Canucks to tank to the point of ensuring a top 3 draft pick in 2015.

Teams don't intentionally tank to get top picks. They get them because they suck. This isn't the 80's when you could tank for Mario and it wouldn't do much to the bottom line, this is big business and you need to make money every year. Teams that suck don't make money.
Luongo literally saved the game for us last night against undoubtedly the worst team in the league and in our own barn. We buy him out we are strong contenders for the Connor McDavid/Jack Echel sweepstakes in next years draft......hmmmm come to think of it, buying out Lous contract might be a good thing.
DOYLE WOULD’VE RATHER HAD KEVIN HAYES AT 7 YEARS 7 MILLION PER INSTEAD OF J.T. MILLER FOR A LATE 1ST RD PICK

Sorry RD, intentionally tanking is something this Canuck administration will never do.
However, I wouldn't mind adverse to making a blockbuster with Buffalo (or any other team not named Calgary and Edmonton) for the first over all pick.
And maybe a trade with Toronto for Connor Brown.
And have a core of Connor McDavid, Connor Brown and Bo Horvat going forward.
If you guys ever want to see a Stanley Cup championship in Vancouver before we die, signing Vanek to a big contract will definitely increase those odds and probabilities of that happening.
That and getting a true Norris trophy type dman, for which we don't have right now.
Chara, Keith, Lidstrom, Pronger...somewhat Doughty all key's to the game for recent cup winners, on top of their teams having elite snipers/scorers.
A long time ago, a baseball player remarked: "If I owned a ballclub, I'd hire a $5,000 coach and a $15,000 scout."

Or did you mean before one of us dies, because the way he posts RoyalDude's been using Old Fashioneds to fatten up his liver like a fucking French goose and could keel over any day now.
Hell, pull out all the stops!
Booth, Horvat and a first round pick for Moulson (50%), Ott (50%) and Ehrhoff!
Shinkaruk, and another first round pick for Vanek (50%)!
