However the CBA, which Doc continues to advertise his inability to read, recognizes each incident is unique.
I'm not sure if Doc wants things in black and white, more than he just wants to see more consistency. Atleast that's what I gather from his posts. Even in unique incidences, there will be massive similarities to other past incidences to which can serve as a foundation for comparable punishments.
Obviously, in a perfect Hindu world, things would be black and white as far player safety rulings are concerned, but it's an unrealistic expectation.
What drives me nuts a lot of the time, is how star players (I.e. Weber) are given way more slack. That head bash on Zettrberg for instance.........if Sestito would have done that, that would been have been atleast 5 games.......15 games if Zetterberg had been seriously injured.
Given how much discrepancy there are in rulings (even though each incident is unique), I think that's why so many people find it laughable whenever Bettman and company try to make sense and logic out of the rulings (even in those rare instances where something written in the CBA matches an incident 1:1).
I dunno.
