Columbus wins in regulation. Washington picks up a point in the SO. Pretty sure they both move ahead of Toronto, due to less GP. Puts Toronto in 10th in the East.
EDIT: I was wrong... Caps and TO both have same GP, TO sits comfortably in 9th.
Pretty sure you were right the first time (TO has played one more game than Wash).

I think it was my mistake for going to TSN to check the standings. They updated the stats, but for some reason didn't want to update the GP. Maybe being soft on the Toronto Sports Network audience?????
Either way, they have fixed their mistake now.
TO still has some very winnable games, and their Saturday night matchup with Detroit could be telling. What could be extra exciting is the possibility of some Canadian teams outside the playoffs driving a nail into their coffin: TO plays Calgary, Winnipeg and Ottawa in their final 8 games.

I guarantee that this wouldn't have been the case if the Canucks or Les Habitants were in a similar situation.
Sad but true.
What's even sadder is that TSN and Torontonians trash Vancouver and Montreal so much (often in politically correct and indirect ways), and then are the first ones to chant, "Gooooo Canada Gooooo" every 4 years.
Not because they are actually patriotic, or care about the rest of Canada, but because they want to prove to other Canadians and the rest of the world that they are more patriotic than their fellow country-men.

That's how they play the game.
Oh please. Stop acting that it doesn't go both ways.
And BTW, TSN craps on the leaves more than they ever would Vancouver. Let me remind you, the night Chicago won the cup the front page story on "The Toronto Sports Network" was "Toronto Biggest Losers". Yeah, nothing but Leaf love...
