No, IIRC the new CBA got rid of re-entry waivers.vic wrote:If they call up JML, does he have to clear waivers again? If claimed, are the TML's on hook for 1/2 the salary/cap hit?Hockey Widow wrote:Mark Fraser out indefinitely for the leaves. May force them to recall JML or go with the rookie Reilly.
If so, I'm thinking someone would take a shot at JML, at $2 mil, he'd be a good addition on many teams...
That would screw the leaves up even more...an additional $2 mil on the books when they are already in cap hell...

But to be honest I don't think a team would take him even at half-price.
There's 3 years left on that contract and Dave Poulin inferred he never fully recovered from that last concussion.

Loves em, hates em, either direction is inordinate. Can we please have a fucking Canadian sports outlet that is indifferent to the leaves?BigTuna wrote: TSN hates the leaves. I have no idea what you guys are talking about.

Feeling flushed and ill so team doctors sent him to hospital. He was released this morning so I guess the old heart attack scare, only 47.
But is resting at home. Maybe just the wake up call he needs. I'm one to talk
Anyway, he is ok.

The cheeseburgler will have to switch to subway flatbreads ... or brown bag it ...

Was apparently calculating the leaves cap situation at the time.

So, Peter Laviolette could not win with the dogs breakfast RD's hero Paul Holmgren is calling a roster this year and Holmgren has already blown his wad on the fire the coach card.. three games into the season.
Shame we don't have a GM a set of big old brass ones like Holmgren, who has the guts and tenacity that it takes to trade away his top two centers in order to make room for a goaltender on a lifetime deal that he would buy out within two years and then tender the biggest, most useless offer sheet in league history..

Holmgren. What a GM. If one lacked that confidence in a coach to fire them 3 games into the season (the team btw is not good), perhaps the smarter move would be to fire the coach in the summer, hire a new coach and give that coach time during camp to implement a system. But no. Not only doesn't he give the team a chance to perform he handcuffs the incoming guy by not giving him a camp.
