I gotta admit that, despite staying up well past midnight watching the game, I also woke up with a perk in the step.
Ripping victory from the clutches of those anointed Edmonton assholes can do that to a fella.
Going to the office and watching the pained looks on Coiler fans' faces when they saw me this morning was icing on the cake.
It did rankle a bit to be a gracious winner towards them, but it is early in the series. Karma can be a biotch.

Been reading on Calpuke that Bieksa and Friedman had a bit of a tiff last night, anyone got a link?

Yes. One must always be the humble victor until the series is over. It’s sucks, but spreading the hockey gods is of even more importance in the playoffs.Lancer wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2024 8:42 am I gotta admit that, despite staying up well past midnight watching the game, I also woke up with a perk in the step.

Re: Canucks News N Notes 23-24 Playoff Edition
If its what I am thinking it wasn't a tiff. Friedman asked Bieksa, as head Vancouver cheerleader, if he thought they could come back after the second. Bieksa jokingly took exception to being called their head cheerleader, and sidestepped the question. He asked Friedman if he still cheered for Western whenever they played. Bieksa politely said he wasn't a cheerleader but an alumni. So it was all good natured pissing about.
Unless I missed something else.
The only HW the Canucks need

I saw a step up in Peteys play last night
More aggressive
More shot attempts
Good hustle and defensive play
Maybe the page is turning at exactly the right moment…
