He’s been an unmitigating disaster since arriving there - first drafts McDavid and then every move he made after ends up an absolute disasterUncle dans leg wrote: ↑Mon Jan 21, 2019 4:40 pmHoly fuck lol!

“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau
Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Yeah, but you can't even give a guy credit for drafting McDavid. Anyone who passed on Connor should have been handed their walking papers before the 2nd round started.RoyalDude wrote: ↑Mon Jan 21, 2019 4:48 pmHe’s been an unmitigating disaster since arriving there - first drafts McDavid and then every move he made after ends up an absolute disasterUncle dans leg wrote: ↑Mon Jan 21, 2019 4:40 pmHoly fuck lol!

Speaking of Chiarelli's prowess.....he just inked Koskinen to a 3 year extension at $4.5M per. That's $300K more than they are paying Talbot whose contract expires this year. Safe to say Talbot is traded or let go.....way to build the chemistry and make guys feel wanted.
What a hack. If he had half a brain he would have negotiated the contract and found a way to bury the news of it until the end of the season or something.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Yeah that's brutal, Koskinen is 30 and has played a grand total of 31 NHL games with a .905 sv%
Obviously Jimbro was the brains in building that Cup team in Boston.
Brains Benning.

This is the time for Jimbro to apply the finishing move on his old boss.

Scott Bradley unearthed a lot of good kids for Boston back in the day. Learned at his father Bart’s knee. Bart was a legendary Bruins scout.Mëds wrote: ↑Mon Jan 21, 2019 7:23 pmYeah, but you can't even give a guy credit for drafting McDavid. Even worse: Pronger --->Eberle ---> Strome ---> Spooner ---> Nothing.
But hey, they locked up their back up goalie for 3 years, so they got that going for them!

We all know EDM is in crazy trouble, but how on earth are they going to ice a team next year? Looking at Cap Friendly, they have 6.5 mil in cap space with only 15 players signed.
Cap is going up by 3 so now they 9.5 in cap space
Klefbomb and Sekera will be off IR and they eat up 9.6 of that 9.5 space so now they are essentially capped out with only 17 players signed.
