Well TO and ANA may have opened the floodgates.
Yandle to FLA for a 6th and a 2017 conditional 4th.

So the leaves now have $9+M tied up in their crease, and neither guy is a top 10 goaltender behind that porous defense.Hockey Widow wrote:As expected:
"Andersen says the trade was contingent on him reaching a contract extension with the #leaves.”
Reports it is a 5 year, 5.5 per deal. Not confirmed.

Well, 1 out of 7 isn't bad for a bukake guzzler IQ, I am one heck of a Ball Hockey playerBlob Mckenzie wrote:We all want the team to win a cup but at this point that isn't a realistic goal. Right now I am optimistic Elmer will help us build our talent pool. He can be considered in the 70-80% in talent spotting. What we do with this talent is another thing all on its own. Maybe a new coach. Maybe a new GM a year or two away and they will take what we all want. A cup. Or..........we will all get on our motorcycles and go for a ride just like Luc.....who knows eh?
Whatever the result, as long as we win a cup I do not care how we get there. GO CANUCKS.
The trade machine is starting to fire up, should be a good next 72hrs + .....

Is Yandle UFA?
Florida adds O from the back end. Not bad.
Would be nice to get that for Hamhuis.
The only HW the Canucks need

Yeah. Essentially just negotiating rights went to FLA.Hockey Widow wrote:Mëds wrote:Well TO and ANA may have opened the floodgates.

I would be happy with a 7th and a conditional 5th for Hamhuis.Hockey Widow wrote:Florida adds O from the back end. Not bad.Mëds wrote:Well TO and ANA may have opened the floodgates.

Seriously, if he isn't in the future Benning should take whatever he can get and run.

Yeah that's the kind of return to expect from Hamhuis. 6th rounder, an extra 4th if he signs. Maybe just a 5th for the rights and leave it at that. After botching the deadline, at least get SOMETHING for the guy (or trade Sbisa and re-sign him).Mëds wrote:Yeah. Hmmm Jim Nill just gave Lehtonen a vote of confidence...Island Nucklehead wrote: Pretty much just Calgary looking for a goalie now? Maybe Dallas but they've already got $10M tied up in that nightmare...
Maybe Winnipeg if they buyout Pavs ($1.6M X 2)?
... with just Fleury + Reimer available now?
I get the feeling SY will keep Bishop one last year, then trade his negotiating rights.
(Howard, Bernier, Niemi... all with negative trade value amirite)
Not sure how Burkie feels about UFA Reimer, but Fleury could probably be had for one of their three 2nds.

I still smell a rat in the whole messy Vesey affair and if he winds up in the windless city then I will know for sure.... http://www.tsn.ca/sabres-acquire-rights ... s-1.511608

See, sports fans realize the Leaves are the most hated team in sports
... and Pig Town is literally crawling with Leafers!
No offense intended.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
TSN states Lecavalier retired effective today. Frees up $4.5 for LA. Lucic just might stay.
