Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Ottawa on a roll winning 7 of their last 10 and pulling within 4 points of Boston for the last wild card spot.
Boston is still on a downward trajectory as is FLA now probably - would be sweet to have Mon, Ott, Van, Cal, Wpg in the playoffs. Tor would have a field day to be the only Eastern Canadian team to not make it to the post season. Edm is used to it now.

The only way I want Calgary in the playoffs is if we face them in the first round and destroy them.
Then they can go back to missing for another decade.

I like it, but how bout this...Rumsfeld wrote:The only way I want Calgary in the playoffs is if we face them in the first round and destroy them.

Calgary catches a wildcard spot and miraculously survives a bloodbath versus the Ducks.
Meanwhile Canucks take out the Wife Beaters (please tell me I'm not the only one who can imagine this).
Canucks then sweep the Flames in the 2nd round, causing more pain than Flamers can endure
... then smash through the Blues and the Sens and capture the Cup.
The End.

I guess I'll grudgingly accept that scenario.Strangelove wrote:I like it, but how bout this...Rumsfeld wrote:The only way I want Calgary in the playoffs is if we face them in the first round and destroy them.

This time.
Wait, Sens? LOL!
You've clearly mixed up the P and S on your keyboard old pal.
Either that or you've gone back to drinking in the morning.
It's OK, I think I like you better drunk.

Bruins sign Krug to a 1-year extension for $3.4 million and Smith was given two years at $3.425 million, per season.

...or Tanev! Perhaps Benning shouldn't have played games & locked him up last summer. He's only improved his value this year.

Well hopefully his two concussions have brought that value back down again.ClamRussel wrote:...or Tanev! Perhaps Benning shouldn't have played games & locked him up last summer. He's only improved his value this year.

hahah no doubt, health hazard city, I don't think Tanev with the style he plays will play a full 82 games in a season.Strangelove wrote:Well hopefully his two concussions have brought that value back down again.ClamRussel wrote:...or Tanev! Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
1 year $3.4M per contract is reasonable for Salo like injury prone Tanev, anyways we are seeing the big difference from the Gillis days, as he'd sign everyone asap with NTC galore, but JB it's wait till offseason to worry about this shit.
