Kaspersky Softwear

Is this a good anti spy wear tool? My Norton was subscription was due to be re installed and all of a sudden my system crashed. So I took my computer into a guy the wife knows and he said I had 189 virius.

So he uninstalled Norton since it was up and he installed Kaspersky on a 30 day trial. I have to say it is back and a lot faster than a week ago.

What do you guys think is a good virus softwear?

I've been using Avast for about a year now. It's free and seems to be a good job. I run it on 4 or 5 computers at home.
