Overseas?

Grenier with a concussion

excerpt:
After the Friday game in Linz Salzburg's injury list has become longer again. Zu den Rekonvaleszenten Ryan Glenn, Thomas Raffl und Konstantin Komarek kamen noch Matthias Trattnig (nach Stockstich) und Alexandre Grenier (Gehirnerschütterung nach einem groben Bodycheck, der Linzer Gegenspieler Patrick Spannring wurde übrigens vom DOPS [Department of Players Safety] nicht bestraft) dazu. Among the convalescents Ryan Glenn, Thomas Raffl and Konstantin Komarek still Matthias Trattnig came (after spearing) and Alexandre Grenier (concussion after a rough body check, the Linz opponent Patrick tension ring was incidentally not from DOPS [Department of Player Safety] punished) to do so.

In case you were wondering...

Patrick White has moved up from the third tier German league to... the second tier German league!

Patrick White

White is off to a good start with 3 goals and 2 assists in 5 games.

...and what about Cody Hodgson? Well, tonight the Rochester Americans open their pre-season schedule against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton - yesterday was their Blue vs. White Intra-squad Game (FOLIGNO, FLYNN HELP TEAM BLUE TO 6-1 WIN OVER TEAM WHITE) where Hodsgon went scoreless for the White side.

Couple tweets regarding Corrado.

@TysonGiuriato:
Although 0 points, #Canucks prospect @frankcorrado22 just played one of the best games I have seen him play in @Sudbury_Wolves 4-1 win

@TysonGiuriato:
Corrado controlled the play all night. Made one of the best passes I have ever seen, a 70ft. backhand saucer to spring a breakaway (no goal)

Not sure if this was posted elsewhere, but it looks like Sportsnet is going to be showing a few AHL games this month. Of course the Marlies are the featured team, but also the Wolves vs Heat game on the 20th.

Hope they show some Oklahoma games as well.

Gaunce is a kid and I cannot help but wonder if he is sulking over the lockout and how it took away from some dream of his or maybe he is another wasted draft choice. God knows he would not be the first. Hope for the pouting rather than lack of ability. Corrado and Jensen are looking good as is Schroder. God I miss our hockey.

It's pretty evident that the Bulls are not a high offence team, they likely rely a lot on Subban in net and a strong defensive game. Gaunce's +\- may likely be the result of being on the ice against the oppositions best and the Bulls relying on the PP to score their goals.

The Bulls goals for is one of the lowest in the OHL, as is their goals against. When you don't score a lot of even strength goals your plus/minus will suffer.

Why are we trying to draw conclusions after 5 games BTW? Oh well, kids a bust I guess.
