Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

He's had impressive muscle mass for his height since the draft combine (and before I'm sure) and given he's unlikely to be getting any taller Schroeder was about as physically ready as he's ever going to get.

Schroder was one of the most physically ready players in his draft year.

I doubt he's made much ground in that are since turning Pro.

Man.

Gaunce sidelined three to six weeks

excerpt:
"Bulls Head Coach and General Manager George Burnett announced Tuesday that team captain Brendan Gaunce will be sidelined for the next three to six weeks with a second degree shoulder separation suffered late in the third period in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Sudbury Wolves.

Gaunce, who has played an integral role in the leadership and chemistry of the team early on this season, will undergo treatment and rehabilitation in the coming weeks in the hopes of making a safe and smooth return to the Bulls lineup.

With four goals and five assists through his first eleven games, Gaunce has also played a large role in the early season success of the Bulls penalty kill that ranks first in the OHL with a 91.4% efficiency rate. The club's penalty kill has been so effective, that it is five percentage points ahead of the second placed Saginaw Spirit.

The unfortunate news comes just after Gaunce was named to Team OHL for the upcoming Subway Super Series being held in Guelph and Sarnia on November 8th and 12th."

Between Garrison's injury woes and Gaunce's shoulder seperation, I don't know what's more depressing.
“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau

Impressive! I notice he has a nice little wrister there as well as quick hands for knocking in one timers. I can see him possibly seeing time on the #1 power play with the twins. He seems to know where to be and gets the puck off his stick in a hurry.
I'm really cheering for this guy to succeed for some reason. Maybe it's due to the fact we haven't had many guys lately who we develop ourselves. Hodgson was always disappointing to me and I could never cheer for players like Grabner for some reason. Not to mention the Patrick White experience...
Here he sits in 15th in scoring in the SEL...not too bad

AHL

San Antonio 5 Chicago 6
Lack 24 saves on 29 shots

Kassian, (4) (Longpre, Pinizzotto)
Davies, (1) (Friesen)
Connauton, (1) (Hunt)
Sweatt, (2)
Gordon, (1) (Hunt) (SH)
Schroeder, (2) (Davies, Sweatt)

Shades of Stephane Auger - once Chicago was called for an abuse of officials at the end of the first, referees Jamie Koharski and TJ Luxmore went to work - eventually calling 10 penalties for powerplays against Chicago in a row (including two 5-on-3), and giving San Antonio 4 powerplay goals. But it wasn't obvious. No, not at all.

ECHL

Evansville 1 Kalamazoo 4
Anthony 0 points, -1
Archibald 1 assist, even
Cannata was the backup
Polasek 0 points, +1
Rai did not play

NCAA

Quinnipiac 1 Colgate 5
Price 0 points, even

Boston University 3 Massachusetts 2
Myron 0 points, even

Princeton 2 Yale 3
Beattie 0 points, even

Bentley 0 Harvard 5
McNally 1 assist, +1

Maine 0 Providence 3
Hutton 0 points, -1

Wisconsin 2 Minnesota-Duluth 2
Labate 0 points, even

QMJHL

Drummondville 1 Cape Breton 4
Honzik still out with shoulder injury (Trudeau 15 saves on 16 shots)

OHL

Kitchener 1 Plymouth 2 (OT)
McEneny 0 points, -1

Kingston 0 Belleville 1
Gaunce out with shoulder injury

Sudbury 1 Owen Sound 3
Corrado 1 assist, even

That goal puts Corrado at 1-15-16 in 16 games. Those totals tie him for the team lead in scoring. The next closest defenseman has just 3 points.

Given that Corrado had previously been singled out for his gritty defensive game you have to think that the canucks are beaming about this prospects offensive production.

Is Corrado a consideration for the WJC ??

Obviously, Rielly, Hamilton, Ceci, Murray are locks. Reinhart, Koekoek are likely Dumba is probably there.... where does that leave Corrado ??

Probably outside looking in.

It think for the 5, 6, and 7th spots they would prefer younger guys that they can get a few years out of over a guy in his last year.
