Probably outside looking in.

It think for the 5, 6, and 7th spots they would prefer younger guys that they can get a few years out of over a guy in his last year.
You're probably right, but then guys like Aulie and Parent came out of the woodwork in the past to make the team so he may have a kunthair of hope. :drink:

Wonder who is the coach/management ??

OHL Defenceman of the Month (Oct)

excerpt:
Frank Corrado tied for the league-lead in scoring among defencemen with 12 points in 11 games for the Sudbury Wolves including one goal and 11 assists with a plus-minus rating of plus-2. He was named OHL Player of the Week to close out October and was the first defenceman to win the award this season following a three-game stretch where he recorded seven points in three games. That stretch included a career-high five assists on October 26 where he was named first star of a 7-2 win over the Niagara IceDogs.

Corrado, a 19-year-old from Woodbridge, ON, is playing in his fourth OHL season with the Wolves. Selected in the fifth round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft by the Vancouver Canucks, Corrado has 16 points in 16 games which has him ranked third in scoring among defencemen. He will also compete for Team OHL at the 2012 SUBWAY Super Series on Monday November 12 in Sarnia, ON.

Beach was trying to push him around after the whistle in front of Lack and KC took no shit. Nobody got any real shots in but I was impressed with Kevins strength. He's not a pussy at least.

^^^yeah, I saw the "fight" on Wolfkeeper's highlights, just a wrestling match.

Uh oh, what's this?

#3 Polasek and #25 Archibald are prominently featured. I didn't notice #13 Anthony, #35 Cannata, and #10 Rai.

It's practically impossible for me to be optimistic for Canuck prospects playing tier two minor league hockey. Alex Burrow is the rarest or rare exceptions, but then again, he wasn't sent down to tier 2, he was found in tier 2, kind of the opposite.

Tuesday Nov 6

AHL

Chicago 2 Charlotte 1
Lack 24 saves on 25 shots

Pinizzotto, (1) (Sterling, Longpre)
Pinizzotto, (2) (Rodin, Ebbett)

Sterling-Ebbett-Haydar
Sweatt-Schroeder-Kassian
Pinizzotto-Longpre-Rodin
Miller-Friesen-Desbiens

Connauton-Matheson
Sauve-Tanev
Joslin-Hunt

The veterans started slow with lackluster efforts and bobbles from Joslin, Matheson, Haydar, and Ebbett, however some of the Canuck prospects have stood out:

Rodin: Driving the net, and very active in the offensive zone
Schroeder: Good puck possession, creating multiple offensive chances, and unlucky that Sweatt did not bury a good feed
Pinizzotto: He may not have a lot of speed, but he is tenacious, and tough to take off of the puck
Tanev: Calmly cleaning up Sauve's messes
Kassian: Scored a goal by crashing the net that the referees disallowed because apparently they don't know the rules of hockey, and later was robbed again when he beat the goaltender who got a piece of it and a defender cleared it off the line

Also - Sterling was a tiny buzzsaw, creating chances with admirable perseverance for such a small player

OHL

Mississauga 2 Kitchener 3
McEneny 2 assists, even

Friday Nov 9

AHL

Chicago 4 Milwaukee 7
Lack 9 saves on 13 shots (0.692), Climie 12 saves on 15 shots

Schroeder, (4) (Rodin, Tanev)
Matheson, (1) (Sweatt) (PP)
Sterling, (4) (Schroeder, Hunt)
Miller, (1) (Longpre)

Milwaukee chased Lack with 4 goals in the 1st, and the Wolves played a lazy, sloppy game and got smoked.

ECHL

South Carolina 5 Kalamazoo 1
Anthony 0 points, -1
Archibald 1 goal (5), -1
Cannata 20 saves on 25 shots (0.800)
Polasek 0 points, -1
Rai did not play

NCAA

Union 6 Harvard 2
McNally 1 goal, -1

Colgate 2 Quinnipiac 3 (OT)
Price 0 points, -1

Clarkson 1 Yale 0
Beattie 0 points, even

Boston University 3 Merrimack 1
Myron 0 points, even

Maine 1 Massachusetts-Lowell 2
Hutton 1 goal, even (1st NCAA goal!)

QMJHL

Cape Breton 1 Victoriaville 7
Honzik 18 saves on 24 shots (0.750), Bureau 13 saves on 14 shots

Honzik's first game of the season - one he won't want to remember... up against the goalie (Whitney) that stole his job in Victoriaville, and got him traded to one of the worst teams in the QMJHL.

OHL

Belleville 0 Kingston 2
Gaunce out with shoulder injury

Sault Ste. Marie 1 Kitchener 3
McEneny 1 assist, even

Sudbury 1 London 4
Corrado 0 points, -1

The Canucks got some crazy good prospects, the numbers on those game by game stats are stunning.
