Gaunce for Stephen Harper. Knew he had written a hockey book, didn't know he was moonlighted in junior hockey. I guess anything to take the Senate off his mind.
Re: Prospects Thread 2013-14
Yup, Gaunce has been traded, and Erie paid a big price. Gaunce is now on a contending team. This is a huge season for him as he'll now be playing with two star forwards (Connor McDavid and Connor Brown) and on a team with Memorial Cup aspirations, not to mention with the World Juniors.

Skyo, I've read that Jensen has actually played quite well. He is getting shots on goal, but the puck hasn't been going in for him. Comets' GM Pat Conacher said that "Nicklas Jensen has to be more consistent and go to the net more - he has no goals in 10 games." Conacher has also said that Lain, Grenier and Archibald have been playing well.
Utica seems to have turned things around a bit. They have won two of their last three, and four of their last seven games. Like the Canucks, all of their games have been tight.
Eriksson in particular seems to have turned things around in a big way.

In case anyone hasn't seen Archibald's hit yet.

Cole Glassels still not playing. What's his injury?

Re: Prospects Thread 2013-14
Good to see Canata have a big outing in a rare start. Goaltending the least of the worries on the farm.
Jensen continues to contribute nothing in the way offense. Perhaps he should apprentice in O-vic for a couple years.
More than a little concerning that all Gillis has to show for his first six years at the draft table is a depth d-man in Corrado and a jettisoned top line centre turned bottom six project.
If anyone went to the game, I scouting report would be much appreciated. How did Mallet fair in his bout? Grenier, Frankie, Lain, Archie?

Re: Prospects Thread 2013-14
The one thing about the Canucks farm system prior to Gillis showing we always had a top notch system from Syracuse to Milwaukee to Manitoba. Good prospects working their way through the system on a consistent basis. Remember when Burrows, Bieksa, Kesler and Rypien and Mike Brown were all playing down there. Gillis comes in and in 6 years has completely fucked things over. Now we are playing in the bowels of North America in what I understand is the worst arena in the league with a team that is complete shite with no good prospects other than maybe Corrado. Wow. Way to go Mikey
The problem with the Canucks is there is a complete drop off in talent from our aging core group to the next generation. We don't have any solid core group of quality good young players in that 22-25 range to help ease the pressure off the Sedin group because Gillis has completely dropped the ball in this area of the teams competitive sustainability. First time in years since we've seen our farm system this bad, thanks to eyebags gillis. The gap between the Sedin group and the next group - Horvat is too wide

Can't find any info regarding Andrew Glassels son Cole.
Shinkaruk sure ain't making a strong case for himself to be selected for the WJC's.
