Shinkaruk scored a pretty slick goal vs Russia for team WHL in the Super Series.
Kid's got some offensive instincts. Hopefully he's fully recovered from his hip injury.

No denying his pond hockey skill set, I have concerns of him being Mason Raymond perimeter play streaky

By all accounts Bo Horvat looks to he the real deal and should be a lock to make the team next year. He will be a welcome breath of fresh air to the team. Put Kes on the wing with him, buy out Booth and go into the July Crazy UFA season and get a proper scoring 2nd line winger for that line. Keep Burr with the Sedins, they are meant to be

All I could find is an article that mentioned he was expected to play this weekend where Oshawa had three games, but he has not yet suited up...RoyalDude wrote:Can't find any info regarding Andrew Glassels son Cole.

Both Horvat and Shinkaruk named to Team Canada's World Junior selection camp.
Matt Dumba will be loaned from the Minnesota Wild to Team Canada.

Re: Prospects Thread 2013-14
Hmmm... Sutter doesn't pick Gaunce for the team... I guess he meant it:
Gaunce Stays Cool After Sutter Flaming (from August 16, 2013)
excerpt:
Turns out Sutter wasn’t entirely thrilled with the Canucks’ 2012 first-round draft pick, even though he actually had to ask Canucks assistant GM Lorne Henning about him as he’d never seen him play before.
This lack of knowledge didn’t seem to stop Sutter from expressing his less-than-flattering opinion on the man the Canucks would love to see take their third-line centre job this year, when the coach was interviewed on the TEAM 1040 by Jeff Paterson on Aug. 16.
“He’s a big guy and he’s a ways away from being a pro player yet,” Sutter said of Gaunce, knowing full well he was talking to a Vancouver audience.
“He’s a very defensive-oriented guy as far as understanding the game. He knows his limits offensively, but he’s a big power forward who’s a decent skater and he’s got some good skills. But I see him more as a third- or fourth-line player in the National Hockey League, more of a power guy.”

I've heard nothing but good things about Hutton thus far, could turn into a great PMD for us.

Yeah, Hutton is quietly becoming one of the Canucks best D prospects - in fact, the Canucks already have three regulars under the age of 28 which is not bad:Benjo wrote:I've heard nothing but good things about Hutton thus far, could turn into a great PMD for us.
