My pick for "player" has to be Steamer. I'm a huge Linden fan too and what he has done for this team and the community is amazing. Still, I'll always remember how Smyl gave 110 percent every night he player. He was never afraid to take anyone on especially when the rest of the team seemed so apathet...

I do agree that we are all panicking. It is only pre-season but there still are some glaring concerns. We still have 11 defencemen in camp showing that nobody has stepped up and shown that they can play at this level after the 4th D Man. When Bourdon at only 18 and straight out of junior (and has be...

I agree to a point, however, the lack of chemistry on the top line really bothers me. If they were not scoring but still creating oppotunities then this would not be so bad as the goals would come eventually. As it stands right now, the two years of not playing together is really showing. Is it poss...

Always loved Scott Stevens. One of the best pure hitters in the game ever in my opinion. A superb leader who showed up in the playoffs every year big time. He "always" made an impact. Brodeur is gonna face a few more shots now that both of his best defencement are gone. I say he gets in the hall of ...

Great topic. Nice to change lanes for a minute. From what I've seen of Crosby he appears to be a great kid and has it all put together. He's not afraid to go into the corners and I think he will be a great one. He's handled the pressure thus far incredibly well and if the new rules are in place and ...

And where exactly did Cooke play during last years lockout season? Oh yeah, that's right, he "didn't". No points etc. So basically he hasn't played in two years? I don't know what Matt and his agent are on but clearly this is not the same thing everyone else in the province is smoking. I've been hea...

I'd like to think we can sign him but with Ruutu on the verge of signing this week and the cap room left I just don't see how we can pay more than 1.2 for this guy. We need some guys with grit who can skate etc. and Matt is an extraordinary role player (one of the best in the league at what he does)...

I don't think that there is any question that we are in the toughest division in hockey. Calgary and Edmonton both made some great moves in free agency and Edmonton still has loads of cap room to pick up more players. For the most part I think we are in pretty good shape as long as we can keep Ohlun...
