Re: Cam Janssen?
Yeah, I would expand my post to mean anyone like Rypien since it's pretty clear that whatever kind of player he is, the off-ice issues were simply too much of a factor for him to keep playing here.

I would've liked to keep a guy like Rypien around as long as he was by a pretty fair margin the worst hockey player on our worst line.
That wasn't the case for most of his tenure here and it hurt the team.
Hard to hold against Ryp personally, though.

Re: Hansen goes to Arbitration
I'd say that the most important step needed for JH to take a leap in production would be to have consistent line mates. ... Given a chance to develop some chemistry with any 2 consistent (and hopefully talented) line mates, he could really thrive. Not sure if you've seen this tool but it's pretty u...

Good point Dave. I much prefered all the debates you & I had though.... Dave. :D Re: how much you care/don't-care about your internet reputation. Good times! Must've been a long time ago, I've long since learned the value of debating your online personality. Butt yeah Doc, uhh.. good times. :...

Re: When Power Goes to the Head of a Security Guard
Back to the subject of Per, I would think Strangelove would love the guy, considering he's the only one stubborn enough to debate him ad nauseum (and I do mean nauseum http://www.leadslingersgaming.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/barf.gif ).. Butt seriously, I'll miss Per if he doesn't find his w...

Re: Hodgson Outlook
Depends on the deal.
The window is open right now.. I for one wouldn't shed too many tears if this team was down one young center and up one Stanley Cup this time next year.
But if that deal doesn't come up, I'm happy to let Silent G spend a year in the AHL working on his skating.

Re: Hansen goes to Arbitration
Burrows is an interesting comparable, but he was headed into unrestricted free agency in a season of unprecedented production. There are lots of other comparable players out there who signed for less. Max Talbot's last contract ($1.05m) came when he was the same age Hansen is now with remarkably sim...

Re: When Power Goes to the Head of a Security Guard
I was pretty shocked to see the site down last night. Frankly other than Doc and Topper being banned I had been totally unaware of what went down until I read a post by Pot over at HFBoards.. I just assumed the OF was particularly dead this summer. A lot of people in here seem pretty angry about wha...
