Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Shall we compare our 2007-2010 record with LA and then cry for a while? Ahem. You forgot budding superstar Linden Vey, 4th round pick in 2009 :P Seriously, what does it say that LA can trade a 4th rounders for a 2nd round pick? It says that Ron Delorme has naked pictures of somebody quite influenti...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
So a guy in his prime who is never hurt and can be PPG with Bozak as his centre and has the second most points of any player in the NHL the last 3 seasons is not worth a first round pick? Kessel is the exact same player as Patrick Kane. Only Kessel has scored more. Instead, you're trying to sell me...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
Ok, just being devil's advocate here. Phillys is a naturually talented scoring winger. One of the best scoring wingers in the league. Does he back check? No. Coachable. Does he hit? No. We woudln't want Hank hitting so why would the Laughs want Kessel hitting? Does he forecheck? Well, he skates arou...

Booth is hurt Fransen is hurt Who else is hurt on the laffs? Well Clarkson got his face broke in a fight with McCormick and Leaf fans are upset. They're upset because he's NOT going on the LTIR! Oh it's true! He's going to start the season wearing a full cage but says it "won't change the [du...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
David Booth out minimum 4 weeks. Broke his foot blocking a shot. Kesler left game after blocking a shot, did not return but it was late in the game. No word if he has an injury but was seen hobbled over the bench. Does poster Mathonwy blame Torts for these two injuries? :mex: http://vansunsportsblo...

Schwartz is going to be a very good hockey player for the Blues.Hockey Widow wrote:Blues and Schwartz Agree to Two-Year Deal. Cap hit 2.35 per. Good deal all around. A couple of good years and he will be looking for a home run.
Concur. Great terms all around.

Re: Vancouver's Hockey "Media"
Seriously guys? You're blaming Kesler for looking out for himself considering how much Gillis and Co fucked our team post cup run ? :hmmm: http://www.canuckscorner.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=130588#p130588 As long as GMMG is commander and chief, I don't see any dark days coming. Lol... Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka
I've never found Calgary like that at all. It's a different vibe from Edmonton or Vancouver for sure. I've always found Albertans to be friendly and welcoming, there's all types. Having spent most of my life in Vancouver, there's no shortage of people there who fit your description above. Concur wi...

Re: Vancouver's Hockey "Media"
Both Kesler and Luongo were happy with their contracts at the time. But at least Luongo was professional about it and in the end would have waived to go pretty well anywhere. That one MG fucked up. But Kesler was selfish and put himself ahead of everything else. He was treated like a gawd here. Ya,...

Re: Vancouver's Hockey "Media"
Do you really believe that? IF it was Gillis and not Kesler, then why did Kesler tell Benning he wanted out? It was a new regime, a fresh start yet he wanted nothing to do with the team. It would appear it was Kesler who requested the trade and not Gillis wanting to move him. Kesler had a contract ...

Re: Vancouver's Hockey "Media"
How about honouring the contract? I fully support players honoring their contract. We all knew that last season's trade deadline was the time period where Ryan Kesler's trade value was the highest. Mike Gillis obviously knows this too. Kesler publicly said he didn't want be traded but Gillis probab...

Seriously guys? You're blaming Kesler for looking out for himself... ...but a contract is a contract... Yep - he had a contract and he wanted the security of an NTC when it suited him . If he wanted out, I don't care - but when you sign a NTC and then demand a trade and then limit the teams you can...
