If Gudbranson continues to play good hockey all year he'll be hot commodity at the deadline. Maybe if he starts to play good hockey. Dude looks exposed already without tan man sheltering him. He's a bottom pairing guy who can do spot duty on the 3/4 pair. Only looks good because he's like Kris Russ...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

The sad part of this whole thing is that Arizona is seen as a more desirable place to play than Vancouver, and if the rumors were true and it was Gud going the other way I would have happily done that trade.

GMs should start putting Chayka's number on call block because he's bending them all over.

Anyone else really want the Canucks to offer sheet Andreas Athanasiou? I know Benning was picked partly because he's the opposite of Gillis and strictly adheres to the GM bro code but the guy may be the second fastest player in the league after McDavid. He was low on the depth chart last season and ...

Pretty sure Shattenkirk has a Rangers jersey on under his caps jersey ready to go when season ends.

Re: The Rebuild...

Except he isn't a power forward. Never really was. He overpowered some tiny kids in junior but when he met his match against men he changed his style. Either that or his shoulder is so damaged he can't play a physical game. Either way at this point he is a long shot to make much of an impact in the...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

I have been low on strome since junior. His playoff numbers were not great considering Mcdavid was doing all the heavy lifting and drawing all of the focus and top defenders.

In other news.... ;) Nice to see some recognition for Bo. "Bo Horvat selected to play in 2017 All Star Game" LINK The Canucks (and Coyotes) are lucky every team has to be represented. lol in what world is Mike Smith an all-star? I hate Mike Smith but he has had an insanely good year between the pip...

Re: First half Analysis after 42 games ..

D I was wrong about Gudbranson being slightly better than Sbisa. He has trended in the complete wrong direction, possibly due to his wrist injury (not that he was any good in October) while Sbisa has dramatically improved his own play. I think the Canucks should definitely trade him to a playoff tea...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Its odd that St Louis had to waive Rattie, and now San Jose has to waive Nieto, to get them on the farm team when neither have played for weeks, yet Toronto keeps being allowed to send Frank Corrado down on "conditioning stints" after keeping him in the press box and not for an injury. Mike Babcock...

I wonder how long it takes until Willie realizes that Sutter is the biggest Sedin black hole since Steve Bernier.
