Re: Is the Messier bashing in the Vancouver media acceptable?
I think you've got it all wrong, I listened to that coverage all day and they weren't on a mission to bash Messier, they were forced to constantly react to the seeming unending stream of dumbfucks who kept calling in and saying it was going to be "another Messier situation". Personally I despise Mes...

The infamous snake bite seems to be missing from that list.

Re: I think something important was overlooked yesterday
on a side note, JC, who is the avatar of? :) I can take absolutely no credit for it just stumbled across it online on DeviantArt years ago and liked the photo, the artist is very talented. I just did a search and the artist has moved to another site and has some pretty cool photography and 3d rende...

Re: I think something important was overlooked yesterday
I've even seen "media" members say players chose to sign in the lesser markets to aviod tthe intense scrutiny they come under when playing in Canada. That's fine, that's their choice and they are certainly players you wouldn't want on your team anyway if that's their attitude so no loss there at al...

Re: I think something important was overlooked yesterday
The media in this town LOVE tearing talented hockey players down! For whatever reason(jealousy, is what I'm thinking) the local yokels take it personally that the stars get paid so much and expect unreasonable return for the dollars these tits don't help pay. Still riding that hobby horse I see. I ...

I think something important was overlooked yesterday
When Gillis announced the Sundin signing I think he was playing for another audience entirely. He repeatedly talked up the Canucks philosophy and mentioned how it's nice that a high caliber elite player agrees with the direction of the team, it's philosophy, the conditions, the coaching etc. It was ...

Re: RDS Reports Sundin to Return, Vancouver Likely Destination
I agree that Sundin appears to want the Rangers first and Vancouver is probably a bargaining chip and I really don't want him to come here at this point, I can't see anything good coming from it unless the stars align perfectly. I think Gillis doesn't see a downside, if Sundin goes to the Rangers, t...

Any way to bring back the game day box?
That used to be on the front page that lists the game start time and network it's on etc. I used to come here all the time to double check before games. I know the "other guys" have that already, but I don't like going to that site if I can help it.

Yeah I absolutely *hate* the save button as well, that was on my original post. :) It's way too easy to click it, almost instinctive and then your message seems to get lost in oblivion. I finally realized if you simply cancel after clicking save it takes you back to your message so you can click pos...

Re: Um..is there any point in making suggestions?
There is a problem with that forum...it's auto pruning when it shouldn't be. Secondly, please understand that it costs you nothing to post here, and this is somethign I do in my free time, of which I have had next to none of late. No one wants the site running smoothly more than I do. I apologize, ...

Suggestions
I made some suggestions weeks ago about broken links, broken images, things which aren't working well and while none of them were fixed and I felt like I wasted my time posting about them, I didn't think my post would just get deleted outright.
What's up with that?

Wow! Were you guys watching the same game I was, the ice should be in the top 3 topics of conversation after this game. I don't think I've ever seen worse ice with the single exception of that outdoor game. There were huge snowdrifts in the corners within minutes of the start of each period. Obvious...

Re: GDT - 10/16 - Canucks @ Detroit 4:30 - TSN
How about Salo and Edler playing over 27 minutes?? Edler was incredible. I haven't seen a defenseman at his age be so sound positionally and so poised as well. Even Erik and Jack Johnson were prone to terrible positioning, but so far Edler has been pretty much mistake-free. Edler has been his usual...
