If Tanev goes (for Kane), I'd still say trade Edler (in offseason) for maybe another forward or a Dman and some picks, and sign Mark Stuart.
Wouldn't mind signing Andrew Macdonald either if we end up trading Edler for a forward.

If we were to trade for JVR, would TOR even want Edler, let alone another Dman? I see few proposals for JVR but when I do Edler is the main piece. Phaneuf, Franson, Rielly, Gardiner, Gunnarsson, Gleason, Edler?

Would it be possible to get Neal? On pace for 41 goals and 88pts in 62 GP. Playing with Crosby probably helped, though.

Personally I'd be more confident with Frolik. Put Shinkaruk on the Comets - Go to guy if and when an injury occurs upfront.

EDIT: Archie might actually be better depending on what role has to be filled.
