Re: TSN..productive tough guys

Funny you mention that, SOB is still a FA and if he didn't have propensity to need artificial help to live his life he might be a good fit...or some one like him. Remember when we had SOB, Rypien and Hordichuk ...I bet the Sedins can :D Hornychuck?? Really - he is one useless hockey player. I remem...

Re: Cap Floor & Mr Ballard

It's well documented that I'm not a Baltard fan, but I'm willing to give him 40 games next season to turn his game around. If we can move him before camp and save $4mill that'd be great, if he stays around for a bit, that's fine too. However, the real guy the Nucks have to move is C.Schneids. If we...

Re: Cap Floor & Mr Ballard

Balalrd is only real comfortable on the left side. Unless he or Edler get used to playing the other side they may as well deal him if they can. We have: BXA/Hamhuis Salo/Edler Tanev/Ballard Rome/Alberts Now once Salo gets injured we could be hooped. Hell maybe even Tanev plays up with Edler. I'd de...

Ahhh, I was referring to Keane getting a job upstairs with the Jets.

Sorry for the confusion.

Re: what would you do?

The standard example is a waitress mixing up an order. You can not take the price of the meal from her pay. Well I know that but I was more referring to subsidizing the loss off his commission. Though if the commission is tied to profits he will anyways in the end. I Didn't think you could take it ...

Re: what would you do?

You can not penalize the employee for a mistake. it is the cost of doing business. Labour laws are very clear on this. Labour laws, smabour laws .... he owes pete money. :D So you can't fire him for not being able to perform his job properly? Cause that would be penalizing him. Wouldn't it depend o...

Re: what would you do?

Why don't you give him this option. Either he sells the product he mistakenly bought (obviously someone needs it somewhere) or he sells more of your product and takes a hit on his commission to compensate for the loses. Hell the easiest thing to do would be to speak to your vendor, who obviously now...

Re: Bringing back the Roberto Luongo of 2006/07 (and that st

The point I'm trying to make is this: I want to see the Canucks win.....when it matters most. In order for that to happen, we will need the pre 2009 playoff version of Roberto Luongo. This version no longer exists, regardless of who is playing in front of him and what style we play. The pre-2009 pl...

Re: Krog signing for the Wolves

Not so fast... http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=370704 Not sure what you're implying. Baumer was under contract with the Canucks last year as well. Don't you recall the Canucks calling him from a beach in California in case Ballard wasn't allowed to play. Not sure who will be the captain of t...

Re: Bringing back the Roberto Luongo of 2006/07 (and that st

I also felt that in these playoffs, the Canucks never really had a "definitive style." For whatever reason, we got into a bad habbit of trying to emulate the opposing teams' style. I actually think we've done this over the last THREE post-seasons. I disagree the Canucks were/are a puck possession t...

Re: Cogliano to Anaheim for a 2013 2nd

Yeah he and Gagner both seem to be suffering the same fate. They were free to play the style they wanted in their rookie campaigns and had little to no pressure at all. The team was rebuilding and not expected to make the playoffs. Now the team is looking to take that next step and there's a bit mor...

Man the Coil had such high hopes for him but he just hasn't shown that ability to take the next step and become a consistent NHL player.

Re: What the??? What happened?

His presence also makes Bieksa a much better and effective d-man. Yeah definitely agree on Hamhuis! He was, for me anyways, the most pleasant surprise last year of all the newbs. He's what Calgary wishes J-Bow was, but at a far more reasonable price. The Kesler injury, Hamhuis and Ehrhoff injuries ...

Are we looking for Captain Krog?
Keaner retired last year I believe, wasn't Baumer the Captain Krog this season?

Though with the Jets back in Winnipeg he may get a job upstairs with them now.
