Agreed. The Canucks should not carry two undersized defensemen. Hughes can put up points but not Stecher. If JB can sign Stone cheap for a year or two, it will buy some time for Woo.

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread

Leaves had the best offensive depth in the entire NHL last season. "Depth" had nothing to do with the loss. Spezza isn't an NHL centre? His #'s in Dallas indicates he is. Kerfoot can play C as well. Spezza was an NHL centre, not sure he will be one in this coming season. So he suddebly lost it, got...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread

BTW, since we are on the cap subject, are Canuck fans concerned how they are being built? There is a lot of cap tied-up to late 20's and 30's bottom 6 talent. I'm so glad Leaves are not paying the Eriksson, Myers and Beagle's of the world that much $. On the flip side, we have more than 2 NHL centr...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

I have a trade to announce... Avs Acquire: - Andre Burakovsky Caps Acquire: - UFA forward Scott Kosmachuk - Second-round pick (2020) - Third-round pick (2020) Jesus Christ... these guys are going to be scary up front. Burakovsky was one of the ones I was hoping Benning could swing a deal to get. Oh...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Kerby Rychel is not being qualified by the Flames. In 43 NHL games, Rychel put up 3G 11A, 0.33 ppg, not too shabby for a 3rd/4th liner. Since the Canucks lack NHL depth on the left side, JB should give Rychel a shot.

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

All you people who hate the Miller trade only get to bitch about Benning BECAUSE the GM is Benning. The ten top picks before Benning became GM were Horvat, Gaunce, Jensen, McNally, Schroeder, Hodgson, White, Grabner, Bourdon, and Schneider - Whoopdeefriggindo! Some people act like first round picks...

Say it aint so!
Demko? Gaudette? Tryamkin? Non of them were first rounders. Also, some players need time to develop.
