The Canucks need the Flames to win their final three in regulation while they lose their final three in regulation. That should get them in the top 5 lottery.

Oh the pundits are punditing right now on SN. Funny, they looked shocked. It should be noted here that the Great Strangelove never once wavered from his prediction the Leaves would miss. Many others here lost faith for awhile  ... but the Great Strangelove never wavered. Wait... it's been mor...

And it's over. The leaves eliminated!!!!!
Funny how the two teams that fucked up the Luongo trade, a trade that had potential to help both teams, are now eliminated.

How sweet it is. Washington winning is good for us. We want as much distance as we can get from teams above us.

TEAM1040 now reporting that Nicholson is in negotiations from his home with the Canucks and that he will accept the position of team President and then name Trevor Linden as the new GM. I think I'd prefer the reverse of that..... I think I could live with all of that. But no way was this put togeth...

So maybe we get it all tomorrow. But Naslund as GM makes more sense given his experience with MODO, not that Trevor may not be good but he has no experience.
So typical, if true, of the Aquos approach. Bottom dollar they were talking before Nicholson resigned.

Gotta get it started. Who can write the presser? Take your best shot at what FA says tomorrow then dissect it here. I wanna see how he stumbles when asked the tough questions about: 1) who hired Torts 2) did he veto trades 3) did he refuse to trade Luongo if there was a salary hold back 4) did he fo...

If they would've hired Bobby Clarke instead of Gillis we'd have a few Cups by now! Or perhaps they originally asked Clarkie to be their puppet and Clarkie politely replied: "Edited by the CC Legal Team!!!" Who knows amirite? :drink: Careful you don't say things intended to give the impressio...

Very well could be Gillman takes over. He has been fully involved anyway. Saves the Aquos money as they don't need to hire anyone else. Too funny them filing a notice for a retraction. Sounds like they are getting very sensitive to the notion that people might think they are meddling owners, not tha...
