I don't remember Gudbranson exacting retribution on the last two players who injured Pettersson, either.Strangelove wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2019 7:33 pm
Pettersson got elbowed in the head because Canuck fans ran their enforcer out of town.

Re: Canucks Young Guns
And Sid the Kid was not a young man of such obviously fragile construction. Lol Petey will play more NHL games than Crosby through his first 5 seasons. Book it. Well, maybe. Re: Canucks Young Guns
Moving this to where I think it's more relevant: Sure, but Petey is losing it. He now, for the first time in his NHL career, has fewer points than games! For some reason he's not shooting nearly as often as he did earlier in the season and is instead making more frequent high risk passes. Ge...

Re: Canucks Young Guns
At this point, you make room. The season is done. If Green and Benning are not willing to play out the rest of the season with the future in mind then I just might become a GillisBro. These two need to stop being stupid. A blatant tank with your future dominating the lineup may be in order, we ain’...

Re: 2019 offseason
The last revision before the latest revision in the NHL was “speed, skill and size” . Size has been removed from the latest revision and replaced with tenacity/motor, I could care less the size of who we draft, sign, trade for as long as they have speed and skill and compete. The League has been sa...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
The Canucks probably had the leagues best top 2 centre combo in the game in 2011 in Sedin and Kesler. Kesler was a beast in that 2011 cup run. Centre ice was the least of the Canucks problem for losing the 2011 cup Because Kesler wasn't playing hurt, the Canucks did not have trouble scoring goals i...

Re: Canucks Young Guns
It doesn’t sound serious but more importantly - Michigan lost. I believe it’s one more loss to the Gophers and it’s Lockwood and Hughes signed sealed and delivered. The Benning Haters are really, really, really going hate the excitement these two signings will bring to this city in a few days, furt...

Re: 2019 offseason
Hirose is small, but really skilled. Unless we see a very different kind of playoffs this year, I'd say the Canucks are already near (if not over) the upper limit of the number of small, but really skilled, players you can have on a successful NHL team. I would not be looking to add to that element...

...we arent qualifying for the playoffs so why not get the kids some valuable experience while our draft position matures into the golden zone Exactly. All of those kids are still trying their very best to win (i.e. not "tanking"), but at the organizational level, player development is given a high...

Re: 2019 offseason
When a player takes a crosscheck to the ribs not much to do with the training staff..... When a player gets blind sided not much to do with the training staff. I must agree. Do you think those kind of injuries have anything to do with a lack of on-ice deterrence ? Or is there a base level of NHL as...
