Santana was brilliant! The man says more with his guitar than most people say with words. Danced for most of the concert due to the wicked Latin back-beats.
His opening act was good as well. Michael Franti and Spearhead. I just bought the album on iTunes. Liking it so far.

Re: Muzac For Munsters
I know he's a little mainstream for some of you guys that are really big into the Indy music scene, but I am pretty excited to see Santana tonight at Rogers Arena. I've always been a fan, but I never got to the see him play live.

........The point is, of all the possible sleepers, it was a Flames prospect that was mentioned.......... True fans make the best of it. You're right, but being a Flames fan, there isn't much to get excited about these days, so any little string of hope is grasped with both hands :look: Yo...

Oh boy, this thread could be asking for a whole lot of trouble, and I don't mean the poster.
Thanks Doc, as a Lit freak, I truly enjoy some poetry from time to time. Love it!

Re: Topper's Grilling Advice!
Topper, how would you grill lamb?
Have a preferred seasoning?
When I say lamb, I mean chops.
Dad (a retired chef) only used a dry rub on them but he won't tell me what's in the rub mixture...yet. I am guessing it's his lure to have us come over for a BBQ from time to time.

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka
Having said that - I do think that Calpuck is very unique in the sense that their hatred/jealousy towards another fanbase and citiy (i.e. the Canucks and Vancouver), outweighs their love and passion for their own team. I've never seen anything like it....and I've seen a LOT of fan sites before. The...

Re: Topper's Grilling Advice!
On a side note, last weekend I saw a pub on Broadway (The Manchester I think) roasting a whole pig out on their patio. I was just driving by, and in too much of a hurry to stop...but I was very impressed. Ha! I was across the street at the Blenz on Tuesday or Wednesday of that week and they had a b...

Re: TV Shows: What are you watching?
A Game of Thrones is excellent. Watched it right off the hop and again with the w2b and she loved it. Loaded with character development and drama. Should walk away with some awards. Im reading the book as well and am even more impressed now with how well the show was put together. Next season will ...

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka
I'm sure he got canned because a lot of people hated his voice, etc. Oh well, I wonder who will replace him. Re: BMo - yeah, now if the Flames could only get Naslund out of retirement, they would have had the entire WCE line playing for them at one time or another. :D Dont get Farhan started.. :lol...

[ Hey Reefer, Welcome to the boards man. I look forward to seeing you and Potatoe duke it out again during the season. :D (if he ever registers). ... He's (Potatoe) registered from before, from what I remember, but not sure if he will post yet. He sent me a PM a while back, but not sure if his hand...

Re: TV Shows: What are you watching?
Other than that, I've heard good things about Breaking Bad, and might give that a shot this winter. I've also never given Arrested Development or Entourage a fair shot, and might revisit them as time permits.. Arrested Development is must-see TV. A comedy that you have to pay attention to, because ...

another flockee coming to the promise land. Didn't post too much since you guys did such a great job. Are we still missing Per I really liked that guys posts about Sweden? We have a guy here from Sweden as well, Bret H. He will give us some insights on the prospects out there, but not an in-depth l...
