Re: TV Shows: What are you watching?

Nowadays I really only watch the Office and Lost. I loved Arrested Development, nothing will beat that. Other than that, I just watch hockey, which is easy right now, or watch shows about the wild sometimes - Jeff Corwin experience or Austin Stevens (that dude is crazy). Local Vancouver Talent Kevi...

Re: TV Shows: What are you watching?

IMO Entourage is by far the best show on TV. An uber close second is Californication. It has all the laughs of Entourage and some story lines that would attract the ladies once they get passed all the tits and ass. As for regular network TV shows, South Park, 24 and Lost are my shows. Honestly, I t...

Re: TV Shows: What are you watching?

Entourage is classic. I love the cameo's (Val Kilmer as the pot dealing Sherpa was fantabulous). Pretty big fan of South Park. I really miss the Soprano's. It was the best show on TV, IMO. I have to admit one of my fave ones was when Jamie Lynn who played Meadow Soprano and Turtle were hooking up a...

TV Shows: What are you watching?

I miss Arrested Development and Sex and The City. But these days I'm really into Entourage. Fave Character: Ari Gold Funniest One Liners: Johnny "Drama" Chase For those of you that haven't seen it yet, watch some clips on Youtube. It's pretty funny and the actors play their characters so well. http:...

Re: Gillis teaches a lesson. G.M 101.

For a rookie GM with no experience whatsoever he has done very well. Not bad...so did Nonis as a rookie GM, but he had experience fetching Brian Burke's Diet Cokes before he took over BB's job. They won the NW title that year I believe. ;) Yeah I like the on-ice product and the morale of the dressi...

Re: Gillis teaches a lesson. G.M 101.

Sloppy ,I will respond to your drivel on March 1st. Pretty easy to criticize the GM in a losing streak when Ray Charles could see that the coach and the players are performing well below expectations. Let's give it another month before we analyze this situation shall we? If you are so enamoured wit...

Re: Gillis teaches a lesson. G.M 101.

Difficult to judge DN or MG. DN at LAST had space to bring in players but never had the chance to show who is choices would have been. It would have been his first opportunity. MG brought in Demitra,Hordichuk Johnson, Bernier Wellwood and O'Brien. One genuine "star"type player Demitra, Wellwood by ...

Re: Gillis teaches a lesson. G.M 101.

Nonis may be fat, stupid, etc. but he did pull off the greatest trade in the history of the franchise. Hopefully MG tops that in his tenure. I mean having ample cap space to sign Sundin is a good move, but it's not a coup like getting Luongo. Really all Gillis has done is replace Demitra with Naslu...

Re: Gillis teaches a lesson. G.M 101.

Funny how all of the Nonis apologists who were so devastated when that fat pile of shit got fired have now scattered to their holes or changed their tune. I got a kick out of all of the whining and crying when Gillis got hired and that Nonis got a raw deal. If Big Dave had still been running things...

Re: Gillis teaches a lesson. G.M 101.

I'm not sure Fat Quinn was to blame on that one. I think the Gretzky negotiations was above Quinn and more of ownerships play; I think it was one of McCaw's henchmen. Mike Gillis taught aspiring G.M's a lesson with the sighning of Mats Sundin to Vancouver. Had Pat Quinn and Gorge McPhee followed th...

Re: Gillis teaches a lesson. G.M 101.

L B I don't want more help on the blueline I want a top six powerforward at the deadline. I want a puckmoving defenceman and another scorer to round out the roster. Realistically I feel we'll get one of the two at the deadline and if I had the choice I'd pursue the defenceman. Someone who can make ...

Re: Gillis teaches a lesson. G.M 101.

L B I don't want more help on the blueline I want a top six powerforward at the deadline. Sean Avery's available :P I'm sure the Stars are going to end up eating some of that salary. ;) So, who can we poach? That's on a team not looking playoff bound and can get for a relatively cheap trade off...a...

Re: Gillis teaches a lesson. G.M 101.

I've heard conflicting reports on this Grizz. One (1040) mentioned 6mill, another (tsn) said 2.5. Most likley somwhere in the middle. Still enough to go for a top sixer at the deadline. So lets start looking at teams that ain't goin' to the show and see who we can take and for what! Being a hockey ...
