WHY do I almost believe this? Internet rumors almost never pan out and I know that but for some reason this one just feels right? Maybe it's because there has been no real excitement this offseason for Canuck fans. Maybe it's because there is a good chance that there could be little excitement this ...

Hey Cookie thanks for the shout out.

I've been following their tour a bit thru their facebook page and their girl friends are keeping us in the loop as well. Sounds like they're having a good time. Glad to hear that you got a chance to catch them again.

Take care,

Barton (aka Bartman)

I was shocked when I read about it this morning. A sad day for sure. He really was one of the good guys. A truly special person.

He will be missed.

I was just about to post this as well but you beat me too it. I'm surprised at where he ended up but not shocked. It shows he wants to play for a contender. What better place that Detroit, they look stacked up now for the next few years! What I am shocked at is the term. Only 1 year! It's a big gamb...

Good trade for both teams. Oil get younger and some needed financial flexibility. Jackets get bigger and harder hitting.

There goes my pipe dream of seeing Brule in Vancouver any time soon.

If you wanted an offensive Dman for the PP, why spend 7-8mil a year when you could go and try to sign a guy like Mark Streit for probably half (if not less), improves the PP but you don't have to give him top 3 minutes even strength because of the salary you're paying him... Personally I really lik...

Carter is going...going...gone

This should put to bed any more fantasy about plucking Carter via offer sheet.

http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/2008/06/ ... year_deal/

He's signed a 3 yr/15 million deal. Decent deal for the Flyers and a decent deal for him.

So who else can we dream about now?

HHOF??? I love the guy as much as any Canucks Fan. Much like Matty I watched him from start to finish. I was nearly moved to tears when he was traded and again when he was brought back. He clearly deserves a place in the rafters of GM place and a place in the BC Sports Hall but in the Hockey Hall of...

How do you figure? Remember the guy had a lacerated calf and tried to come back effectively... And honestly, even if that were true I think our D is still in better shape then our forwards, don't you? Now I am a big Bieksa fan and I believe that he fills an otherwise missing element on our blue lin...

We absolutely have to nail it this year, so I'm much more content to take the 'safe' pick. I got sick of the "safe" picks the last couple of regimes were so fond of. There are only so many Nathan Smiths a team can handle. This team needs top 3 talent and a top 6 forward with a mean streak. I'm not ...

The answers are yes and no.

I'd have to think that tonight the first Euro Captain will hoist the cup. However that sad argument will still be used only it will be "Yah he's good but how many European Captains have lead their team to a Cup? 1 That's how many! 1 in the entire history of the NHL!"

I'd rather see Naslund go and Mo stay. It's time for a change in guard and that has to start with the captain. This team needs a new personality and attitude. The free agent pick of centers is very weak this year. Even with the doubts of his injury Brendan might be the best of the bunch and should c...
