The rule is fine the way it is. The only thing that needs to change is to fire the idiot that figured Naslund kicked that puck in the net. Absolutely! It's a safety issue, you can't have people kicking at pucks in the crease with guys laying all over the place, that's insane. They should defer to t...

Here we go again. Kicked in or not? Some guy in Toronto has to look at the play on video and over rule a ref who was right there watching the game and the league looks bush again. They printed the exact rule in the Province today. The main wording of the rule revolves around intentionally kicking th...

Morrison has mentioned he is still having issues with his hip and the subsequent rehab issues after being on crutches all summer.

I don't think you can fully judge him for a few more months, unitl the hip has totally healed.

Re: The Blue vintages again?!

Now as you know I'm not a fan of the vintages all that much...but if they insist on wearing it so much can we at least get a white vintage once and a while? Is there a Sked on where I can see how many times and what games they'll be wearing them? Checked Canucks.com but couldn't find anything. I gu...

For me, the issue is not that I want to "see" Crosby and Ovechkin. I can see them every night on the sports highlights. Hell, in 10 years, the next Crosby might be playing for Calgary, then would you like this schedule? What should be the argument is the unfairness of asking a team like Vancouver to...

Drafting in the salary cap age.

I had this conversation this weekend with some friends. With the salary cap now in effect - I would argue teams should lean heavily towards forwards when drafting. If the adage that defencemen take longer to mature is true, then why would you chose a d-man? Generally, you could say forwards can meet...

And I might also add the refs called off the Minnesota goal. That was the call you wanted and they gave it to you. It was the head office that changed the call and hung their guys out to dry. How did the refs "trip over their dicks" on that one? I understand that the goal judge in Minnesota also ca...

IMO if you make an attempt to direct the puck in with anything other than your stick it should be NO GOAL. If it happens to bounce off your head, ass or foot then the goal should stand. If you bat it out of the air with your hand, nudge it in with your foot or wedge it between your cheeks and back ...

If you allow players to kick the puck in, then why don't you allow players to throw the puck into the net with their hands? Hockey is supposed to be played with a stick. I actually think that they should only allow goals that are scored directly by using a stick or bounced off an opponent. Goals sh...

Hold on there. McGeough made a very bad call, but Turco said he heard the whistle and let up before the shot was taken. In the replay you also see McGeough waving his arms (in chicken style) while the shot is being taken. McGeough took away a scoring opportunity, but he did not take away a goal. We ...

Change the "kicked in rule" now.

Why can't you kick the puck in? Todd White's goal has me asking this question. The only reason I can think of is... it's always been a rule. It's just historical. The puck can hit you in the ass and go in, that's OK, but you can't kick it in? Why? The NHL head office continues to bring stuff onto it...

Dancin' Anson's new low tonight

4:10 of icetime, no points, no shots, 1 takeaway, 1 blocked shot. Jody Shelley got 4:03 of icetime - looks like Anson has been relegated to the 4th line with the goon and gets 2 shifts a period. On the bright side for Anson - he got $7,625 per minute. If they ever let him play all 60 minutes at that...

I'm not sure what prompted the outburst either, but regardless of the inspiration he had better get ready to open his wallet. No way does a rip on the new CBA like that go without a fine. His whining about the schedule is something he might have gotten away with in isolation, but not the CBA. Those...

and tonights stats....

13:08 minutes --- 1 takeaway, 1 missed shot.

CBJ got shut out and their 2.5 milion dollar 33 goal man did nothing again and got only 13 lowly minutes?

The last 2 nights he got 24 minutes of ice time and not even a shot on goal!
