Messy, eh?

Did anyone hear sports pyschologist Saul Miller on the TEAM this week? The topic was how Roger Clemens would affect the "team" in NY when he gets to leave between starts. He says he was working with the Canucks in the Keenan/Messier era and the team was to have 5 days off over the all-star break. Th...

Agreed.

Before this year's playoffs, Thornton had 27 pts in 46 playoff games.

He was also Team Canada's number 1 centre at the 2006 Olympics.

He has great regular season numbers, but he has never come through in crunch time.

I am always baffled by the myth of Joe Thornton............

I have mixed emotions - On one hand, I was very dissapointed in the effort last night by most of the skaters. But I then consider Salo, Bieksa, Mitchell were all playing hurt on defence. I then factor in they were playing a raw rookie in Hansen and Brandon Reid instead of Cooke, Kesler and Cowan. Th...

Darren Haydar lit up the AHL last year - this year he did nothing with the Thrashers.

Scoring in the A is seldom a predictor of NHL success. Maybe if the guy was 20 years old, but I believe he's mid-twenties?

I liked Harry's sweater last night.

I think I wore the same one for my confirmation in 1982!

Game 3 Heard Harry come up with a new pronunciation for Bieksa - "Biekska" 2nd period - Harry decided he would enlighten us that Turco is a good puck handler and Vancouver would have to watch how they dump the puck in. Then he reminded us in the 2nd period that the teams have farther to go for line ...

All colour commentators suck. Larshied is the biggest joke of them all I really can't wait for him to be gone. Never liked Neale.. not even as a coach. Garret..meh he has his moments. Healy? My ears Oh god my Ears. McGuire is the only real decent one...sometimes You remember Harry Neale as a coach?...

The Harry Neale list

I'll start a list of mistakes by old man Neale. Game 1 - mispronounced "Bies-ka" ... again on a few occasions Game 2 - declared the "St. Louis" trainers were probably just as busy as Mike Bernstein was during game 1 OT. Harry - the St Louis trainers are presently working as caddies for Doug Weight a...

This sucks. I guess we know why Hansen and Smith were called up. Why would they call up a raw rookie like Hansen? I thought Moran and Reid played OK when they were up, they both play centre or wing and both have significant pro experience. With Cooke, Burrows and Kesler out Santala, Smith and Hanse...

A distinct kicking motion

I saw Crosby's goal last night and thought it should have counted. The tv guys also thought it would count. The ref called it a goal. But once again "Toronto" has to get involved, waste 10 minutes of everyone's time trying to demonstrate their great "hockey knowledge" and interpret a very vague rule...

Last Season and the previous seasons when Ohlund and Co were shut down pairing remember this they had either Auld or Cloutier behind them but interesting enough were still plus players. Mitchell has now risen to the exalted heights of a plus 1 and that's with Luongo back stopping the team, can you ...

Ohlund as the shut down guy

Ohlund was directly at fault for the second STL goal last night as he gave the puck away late in the 3rd period while turning in his zone. He also played significant roles in the last 2 Minnestoa goals against. He couldn't hit Morrison with an easy 20 foot breakout pass - the puck was turned over at...

Gretzky was un-touchable, until he was traded. NO ONE IS UNTOUCHABLE everyone said Luongo wouldn't be traded either Gretzky was traded when he was 27. Luongo was traded when he was 27. Sakic is 37 and has spent his entire career with the Avs organization. If I were Francois Giguere I wouldn't even ...

Yes, the pick is a 4th rounder. Again, I don't know why Stuart is so highly regarded. His stats this year suck - 17 pts and a minus 23? He was the man in Boston this year along with Chara and he crapped the bed. He averaged over 22 minutes a game and his "potential" earned him a chance to play in al...
