Re: GDT: March 3rd - Canucks vs Kings 7:00PST HNiC

Mason Raymond at centre and a plus 3 along with Hansen. I remember Raymond doing well at centre right after Malhotra went down with the eye. Maybe there is something there? Raymond also on pace for a 25 goal season over 82 games, however, his current shooting % is almost double his career avg. They ...

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

What is getting lost amongst the cow shit slinging is The Lames owner was front and centre during the lockout. Two months later, he's giving his GM the OK to pay a 2/3 line centre coming out of an entry level deal a contract that guarantees more than $6.5 M a season for years to come. That kind of h...

Good gawd, RD is getting so excited here to share his brilliance that he posted the same thing 4 times, then turned 2 into smiley faces and made one disappear.

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

Bouwmeester will set the new record on Tuesday night against Minnesota - most regular season games ever without being in the playoffs.

Re: So, who would you like in a return for Luongo

After watching Vigneault's handling of the line combinations tonight it is pretty clear that there is not room on this team for all the forwards we have. It's not even a matter of finances either. Booth and Kassian can both play on the 4th line, but that is a gross waste of cap space in Booth and K...

Re: Canucks News and Notes

I agree. But that's up to the guy with the contract. How you can be forced onto the IR when you've met all physical/health requirements is beyond me. If Manny wasn't such a team guy I'd be expecting an NHLPA grievance. As it is, it works out for the Canucks. Manny won't file a grievance because in ...

What about Aquilini vs Aquilini. One gets to keep the wine so far.

What happens when the wife gets the team and it becomes like Major League?

Re: 2013 Season Injury Thread

Here is the vid of the Cooke hit on Karlsonn. Holy crap does that look painful. I knew someone once who broke their Achilles. It was a long, slow, viciously painful recovery process. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvoMpbdA-0A I ruptured my left achilles in 2001 while rounding third and heading for ...

Re: GDT: Feb 12 - Canucks vs Wild 7:00PM SNET-P

I think I heard that they turned over 40% of their roster this past off season. That has to be a huge factor in their slow start. I think this line up will get better as time goes by but in the short term they look a little discombobulated. As an aside...what's up with Shea Weber? He of the 1 assis...

Minnesota has played 5 games in February, scoring 1,1,1,2,1 goals in those games.

So, they are either due, or they suck.

This info argues shot totals generally do correlate with quality shots. http://nhlnumbers.com/2012/6/26/shot-quality-revisited-a-look-at-the-correlation-between-scoring-chances-and-shot-totals Thanks Ol'Larry. The problem I see with that analysis is that it ranks shots and scoring chances equally n...

Re: GDT: Feb 4 - Canucks @ Oil 6:30 PM - SNet

The Sedins still look off, but they dominated Edmonton's top line over the last 2 periods. Edmonton did not try any matchup changes through the last 2 periods - I assume it's because they lost Horcoff? Or, I'll go to my backup opinion, Edmonton will always be doomed if they continue to have boobs ma...

Re: GDT: Feb 4 - Canucks @ Oil 6:30 PM - SNet

No. You are not even close to being real. We won and outshot them bad. Shots mean nothing when they aren't quality. Not saying that was the case tonight, just in general. Time and again this team puts up 30 shots on net but 25 of them are from outside with nobody around to create traffic, get a red...
