Re: Grabner

I used to be pissed with our Grabner pick cuz Nonis passed up on Lucic to grab Grabner. Nonis is looking like he made a good choice at the moment, but I don't know. Something about Grabner makes me doubt him. He's looking like the next Petr Bondra atm, but he always came across to me as a flakey pla...

Re: 4th Line - Enough Grit and Toughness?

I don't mind having CoHo on the 4th line for the short-term to give him a boost of confidence a bit, give him a taste of the NHL and see what it's like first hand up here; however, I'd rather see Bolduc, maybe perrault on the 4th line late in the season and in the playoffs. Glass-Bolduc-Rypien(Volap...

Re: Wellwood signs with the Blues

Yeah, I would say Wellwood doesn't have the drive that most guys do. He had a different childhood, so he looks at things differently. I remember reading an article and his father had mental problems or something, so yeah, it's kind of hard for him to take something like the NHL too seriously. I don'...

Re: Wellwood signs with the Blues

Nice to see the fatkid back in the league. He was one of my fave guys when he was here and I wish him luck. Hopefully, he can play more consistently and become a NHL regular. I wonder if the Blues will send him to the minors for a bit to get into shape and what not.

Yeah, he had a great game tonite. I like Bolduc on the 4th line, I'd take him over RJ actually.

I woudn't mind moving Ball-tard, but with the imminent free agency of Biesucka, Salo and Erhoff, he'll probably be kept.

I'd probably stay away from him, but what's his salary and how many years left?

Re: Your ALL-TIME Vancouver Canuck line-up. Who makes it?

True, I wasn't a big fan of Mess as a Nuck too, but he still averaged like 60 points a year for us. That being said, he got 1st line and top PP time and played with our best players Bure/Nasi.

Re: When HODGSON comes up, should he play with the twins?

No. Actually, I think the ultimate winger for the Sedins would be Buffy. It's so messed up, Atlanta has one of the best power fowards in the game (when he feels like it) and they put him on defence. I'd be willing to give up an arm and a leg to get him. I'd offer Bieksa and Burrows for him (throw in...

Re: Who looks better now?

BMo will not keep up that pace and he's given more of a scoring role in Calgary, while Peter Who is playing on the bottom 6. Also, Shaef missed a year of hockey, so it'll take a little longer for him to get his game back, but it looks like he's coming around a bit as he scored a big goal the other d...

I think Marty Brodeur was available for that Slegr pick too. Imagine a young Tkachuk, Jagr and Brodeur on that 94 team? :(

Re: Roberto Contract Could be Rejected?

Nucks might luck out if they can wash their hands of Lou's contract. How many chances do we have to give the guy? He had 3-4 chances already and can only take the team to the 2nd round; a guy like Hlack, one shot on a crappy team and he carried them to the 3rd. Might be better to trade lou while ppl...

Re: What would it take to get PK Subban?

Yeah, I think Cannauton is our best D prospect right now. He racked up some points for the Giants and he's pretty tough from what I hear, but I heard he has to work on his defensive coverage. He has the potential to be a Biesucka type.
