Topic: Canucks to get new Unis in August

The Orca is hardly a "classic". Heck, the flying V and the skate are both more "classic" than the Orca. As for what the new unis may look like, I hear rumours that the old Johnny Canuck might hame a comeback, but if this is it for the away uniform, I'm not so sure I like it. (The white one looks OK ...

I would like to have Bert back but I think there is just too much baggage that would come with it and I don't think Nonis would risk what he has here. I think it's best for both to just move on. I read (or head) somewhere that Forsberg would not come to Vancouver because of his 'respect' for the Ava...

Hughson is the best in the business right now. Jim Robson was great although a different style than Hughson; a little more 'old school' if you will. His call in 94 (pick one of many OT games) was great. But my preference, if both were working today, would have to be Hughson. I like Shorty, but I lik...

CBC did the right thing in punting Chris "the Whiny" Cuthbert (holy crap, he's horrible); now please get rid of Cole. The only saving grace for the CBC from my point of view is I don't bother watching their coverage of the Leaves (or any Leaf game for that matter).

+ 1 Who knows? Maybe when the trade deadline looms and if the Canucks are out of any playoff aspirations, perhaps the Canucks would for once be a team that might be willing to part with a player that could be missing piece for a Cup contender. Not many on the Canucks would might fit that bill but Na...

Topic: Why is Trevor Linden not playing on the second line?

My only concern would be whether Linden can still finish. Watching him over the past few seasons he doesn't take the puck to the net like he used to, or play with the same confidence, especially when it comes to scoring or trying to score. But Pyatt's been a bust thus far (mind you, it's only 3 game...

Now if half of the remaining Leaves roster would retire, they might actually have a chance.

It's just like any other section although, obviously, alcohol permitted. I don't think it's any higher priced than the corresponding seats on the other side of the stadium or ends - it might just be in a different price zone than the real cheapies. It's nothing special whenever I've sat there. Just ...

Good riddance. His whole, "I really expected to come back to Vancouver and set some roots", Vanc. was his first choice - nah, don't believe it. He was really hoping Toronto was going to step up and bring him home. Then it was all about the money and term - but he forgot that one season doesn't a car...

I agree - this year's ads are pure cheese.

I guess they can't play up the excitement card as the advertising guys did last year when the expectations were that much higher. Hard to make D-fence sound sexy.

The joke is not a reference to The Fugitive. The reference is to Alex Kryeck from the X-Files - he lost his arm near the end, remember? One of the best quasi-villans in recent times. Anyway, re the signing - I think what's more interesting is that the signing is only for one year. I would have thoug...
